I would not be shocked at all if we didn't make the playoffs next year. It just happens. Cap catches up to teams, tough schedule, and everyone trying to bump off the champs. Either way whatever happens happens and I'll enjoy the Lombardi for awhile. :229031_cheer:

I think Pittsburgh is most likely. Baltimore-New England seems to have overtaken it in recent memory, but that's still the money rivalry that everyone wants to watch. They'll also still have the second meeting to play out later in the year. This might contradict what I just said, but I honestly think a Baltimore-New England game is just too good to waste on the first game of the year. That's a game we're all going to look forward to all season. It would be better served on a Sunday night midway through the season.

All right, guys. Here's a list of the Ravens 2013 Home Opponents. Who do you want the World Champion Ravens to host on NFL Opening Night?

Bengals, Browns, Steelers, Patriots, Jets, Texans, Packers and Vikings

I'd love to see Super Bowl MVP, Joe Flacco, face off against the Vikings and NFL MVP Adrian Peterson. My second choice would be Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

No they usually keep in within the AFC. They are either making it a AFC Championship rematch, or against the Steelers.

You have to think like Roger Goodell when predicting theses kind of things, not like a fan.

I'm not trying to predict the opponent. I'm just curious who Ravens Nation would want to face opening night. Obviously, the Pats or Squealers make a lot of sense too...

Pats or Steelers... John Harbaugh NEVER looses a game when he has more then 1 week to prepare, and thus never looses an opener... Win's over Steeller or Pats is usually what it comes down to come play-off time.

I vote Pitt.
I wanna start the run at back to back by beating them up in front of everyone

I want to get the Patriots out of the way. I also think they will be our opener due to the money involved. It's a great match-up.

Alright, though most likely not going to happen, I would like the Packers. Joe outplayed Peyton and Brady to get to the SB so let's face the almighty Super Elite Rodgers.

Given the top 2 most likely AFC opponents, I'd take the Patriots.

Remember a few years ago when the Ravens told the NFL no on being the opponent on Thursday Night against the Steelers after they won Super Bowl 43? You think the Steelers will return the favor and say no? Also I doubt BB will say yes since he was such a sore loser about us beating him in the AFC Title game.

I say Jets or Texans end up being who we face. Knowing Rex, he'll probably make some stupid declaration and say, how he wants to face us and ruin our celebration, etc.

Pats or Jets get my vote...
Jets is my vote because to me it seems to be an easier way to start out 1-0 compared to facing either the Patriots, Texans or Steelers. I don't want to be the next Super Bowl Champion to lose the Thursday Night Opener like the Giants did last year.

I hope it's not Pittsburgh. I don't want a Ravens - Steelers game being played in September. Something about that just feels wrong, ya know? Leave those games until November / December and put them in primetime.

It'd be interesting to see a rematch of the AFC Title game as the first match-up, though.

I want the Texans! We took down the Patriots twice in 2012 (I just like saying that any chance I get) and we got our revenge against the Broncos. If there is any sour taste left from this season, it is the Texans walking all over our injury-diminished roster. I want RAVENge.
