Teams have to spend 90% of their cap this year meaning that teams with an excessive amount of cap (Cleveland and Cincy come to mind) will be forced to extend and resign as many of their own guys as they can or pursue needs in FA rather than make the typical move of not overpaying someone and obtaining a player in the draft.
So that means that many potential FA (Albert, Bowe, Long, Michael Johnson) may not be FA by the time FA rolls around due to this cap minimum. This also of course changes the needs of these teams in the draft.
I know some of you have factored this in, but for those that haven't its just some food for thought.

Good point, but offseasons never shake out the way people think anyway.

I hope these teams aren't able to find another loophole allowing them to spend less again...while it is better for the ravens and other good teams for thers bottom feeders to be cheap, it is not better for the league.

Obviously, Im just looking at a lot of mocks and realizing that people are treating this offseason like a normal one, when it isn't. Needs that would typically be drafted for are going to be bought in FA because you can't take the cash with you.Good point, but offseasons never shake out the way people think anyway.

It is going to be weird to see how the new cap rules play out.
