I just brought it up to him on Twitter, everyone else should call him out as well. Tucker had the 6th best FG% among kickers this year (with at least 20 attempts). He was 30/33 on the year. What nonsense they spew on there

Maybe he got 2012 Tucker confused with 2011 Billy Cundiff. Otherwise I don't know what to say to this, other than the fact that NFL Network is trying to hire the cheapest labor it can. The guy can't even spend 10 seconds Googling Tucker's numbers?

He is but it's really tough to make the comparison after one season and knowing how short-lived a kicker's success can be in the NFL. And this goes for both Tucker and Walsh. But in general, I just think people are undervaluing the importance of kicking inside a dome to kicking outside having to account for all the weather conditions. And this is what makes the season that Dawson had up in Cleveland all that more impressive for me.

For my money, I think both Walsh and Tucker will be All-Pro kickers for many years to come but it's too early to say "this guy is better than this guy" one year into their careers, especially at that position.

At what point is being that wrong not just a mistake? Seriously. Akers missed 13 FG's in the regular season and 1 out of 2 in the playoffs.

Tucker missed 3 FGs all year and is 32-for-35 right now including post-season (17-17 from 0-39 yards, 11-14 from 40-49 yards, 4-for-4 from 50+ yards and 2-2 this post-season). He's 6th in the league this year in FG %. Akers is 30th.

That's not a mistake you make easily.

Probably becauser he was a 49er last week, then his original quote makes sense. To be fair, its got to be a difficult job doing long livr broadcasts. I would be much more forgiving of that then some of the print media
