besides, its not like Cleveland gives a damn about their Browns
Seriously, watch if we were to get their current Browns we'd probably turn them around to.

Keeping Art out is the only thing Cleveland has to celebrate on a yearly basis. What a miserable town.
The Browns is just such and apt name.

They are a sad, unimaginative franchise that has nothing to look forward to outside of the excitement of picking in the top 10 every year, which they manage to screw up annually.

Congrats to JO ... well deserved. Art should have gone in too.

As for Cleveland, man ... I thought we old Baltimore Colts fans were bitter. It's nothing compared to those guys. I had a training class in Wooten, Ohio (about 50 miles south of Cleveland) a few months back. Actually flew in the day the Ravens were there playing the Browns and beat them. Those are some bitter, bitter fans ... and they are 100% convinced that "their" Browns were Superbowl ready when they moved and we have the SB that's rightfully theres. No amount of reminding them that the only Browns players left on that 2000 SB team were Matt Stover, Larry Webster and Rob Burnett.

Now, with the Browns still at the bottom and us back in the SB, the resentment is way up there again. I've always wondered how much their hatred of Modell (one guy at the training said, "It's not like we wished for his death, but it's not like we felt bad when he died.") is the thing that keeps him out of the HOF.

I guess they were right when they said JO was a shoe-in. First ballot. First true Raven in the HOF (not counting Woodson).
And Shannon Sharpe.

JO was and still is one of my favorite Ravens. I'm going to go watch his Top 100 video again.

Regarding Art, I wish I could say that I didn't see this coming, but these guys just don't care.

And could someone please explain why Cris Carter got in!
I say it's about time Carter got in. Andre Reed got passed up AGAIN!

If I were a Browns fan, I would be more angered about the mismanagement of the current Browns franchise than with Mr. Modell, which is only one playoff appearance in 15 years. They would have been changing their tune if they had a winner in Cleveland with the current franchise.
This is 100% correct!

It's impossible to read minds, but it's times like that which make me wish it was possible, some how.

Those cretins should be banned from all NFL games for life.

I know, that this playoff has been "Ray Lewis retirement party", but I do think, that now more then ever, we need to win this SB FOR ART first and foremost. He should be in the HoF. It's a shame he isn't and a second Lombardi for the franchise, that he helped create would make the case even more pressing.

How sad. The man's dead. Give it up. I guess 17 years isn't tkk long ago. I am sure he gets in one day. I guess some of these old and bitter fans have to die first.

I don't think sports writers should decide. I think it should be the players who decide. You know, people who actually played this game.
It's incredible, even the Bengals aren't quite the Bungles anymore. But Cleveland will continue to be at the bottom of the barrel. It's been 15 years since they've had a team, that's no longer an excuse. Look at Houston.

Ha ha ha I really hope JO asks Ozzie to present him...would that not stick it to Browns fans in the best way? :D
LOL. That would be awesome. I think he's gonna ask Ray though.

I think it should be the HOF's who decide! Some might show bias but it's no different then what it is now.

OT but I'm super happy for Cris Carter.

Hard to beat Parcells, Ogden, and Carter! Not sure about Sapp and Allen, though.
Allen, yes, Sapp, no

Ogden is the best LT of the last 10 years. Congrats to the fellow UCLA Bruin :D

Very happy for JO, Allen, Parcells, and to an extent Carter. I feel like it was a toss up between Sapp and Strahan. I hate to say it, but I think it is becoming a very real possibility that Art may never make it into the hall. Art's chance to make it has never been greater than it was this year and he still got robbed
