I heard. I just don't think it's right. basically cleveland knifed him on a stadium and now he can't get in the hall. There wouldn't be an NFL of today without Art.

Didn't even make the first cut. Shame. Its going to be a long road.

Good news about JO making the cut.

I tried to reason with those Cleveland fans on the Washingtonpost.com's discussion boards, but they are all for free speech just as long as you agree that Art should not be in Canton and I can't deal with biased opinions.

I was surprised that Eddie DeBartolo was also not in the final 10. Art and Eddie deserve to be in it, and I hate the fact that Warren Sapp has a chance to be a Hall of Famer over Art. In my opinion, Sapp can go in the Hall later on and doesn't have to go in now, and hopefully Art is in before Sapp gets in.

I hate that Sports Writers get to make the decision on something like this. I remember Tony Kornheiser I think said he wouldnt vote for Art because Cleveland was close to Canton. What a lame excuse and a joke. Art was one of the greatest owners and most influental people in shaping the NFL into what it is today and he will never get recognized. I love that he brought us a team that we love so much. I Love my Team and I know just about everyone else does on here. That love and emotion, Ray Lewis, everything we have had to experience, Would not be here without Art.

Total Shame

Its the curse of Art. Unless Cleveland helps get Art into the HOF, their city will never win another SB. The die has been cast.

besides, its not like Cleveland gives a damn about their Browns

Exactly, tired of the whining from fans and sports writers from Cleveland about our team being theirs. Get over it, they have their history, name, colors, cry me a river.

I guess they were right when they said JO was a shoe-in. First ballot. First true Raven in the HOF (not counting Woodson).

If I were a Browns fan, I would be more angered about the mismanagement of the current Browns franchise than with Mr. Modell, which is only one playoff appearance in 15 years. They would have been changing their tune if they had a winner in Cleveland with the current franchise.

Sorry Bettis.

When I was a kid I could have sworn Jerome would have been a first ballot guy.

Regarding Art, I wish I could say that I didn't see this coming, but these guys just don't care.

And could someone please explain why Cris Carter got in!

Just remembered he was up for nomination. Ha, it's hard to be a Steelers fan these days.

Its pretty awesome how they have JO on the NFL network stage, especially with the Ravens in the Super Bowl.
