If We Draft Any Receiver We already have too many Receivers
Anquan Boldin
Tandon Doss
Torrey Smith
Laquan Williams
Jacoby Jones
Tommy Streeter
David Reed
Deonte Thompson
we have all these receivers and hasn't anyone took the time to consider any possibilities like the only way i could see us getting any receivers is if Boldin Retires and we cut reed and doss

Doss won't be cut. If anyone is getting cut its boldin and jones due to their cap hit. Both will be asked to restructure first though.

Reed I didn't think has a contract after this year so he may not be brought back. Streeter williams and thompson haven't shown a lot, neither has doss. And smith is far from polished.

There's no way we go in with smith, doss, streeter williams and Thompson, heck even if we had Jacoby in there that's still not enough.

If we cut boldin we will either sign a vet cheaper or draft one early.

If we win the super bowl, I could see the team cutting boldin and jones if they refuse to restructure to maintain a healthy cap and sign our younger talent like ellerbee or kruger. And perhaps making a run at a veteran who could help our team in FA.

Thus, drafting early is a real possibility considering this draft could be bpa. We could draft one as early as 32 considering we need to invest in our greatest investment, Joe Flacco.

Wr Prospects: Nuke. Terrance williamsn, cordaralle patterson, justin hunter, or markus wheaton could give us a formidable wr corps with torrey and tandon doss(who the fo has faith in)

Torrey is the only for sure thing. Boldin is up in the air. Jacoby has one year left on his contract.

I like Doss and Williams, but neither have proven they can be good in this league. Reed is guy that the coaches once said "has the potential to be great in this league, but there are too many guys in front of him right now." Dont know what happened to that.

Streetor and Thompson are really athletic and have a lot of potential. Potential, but have proven nothing

If I had to choose between Steeter and Thompson, I 'd probably go thompson.Hopefully we can get Boldin with a more friendly contract, that way we dont have to cut him. David Reed is def. gone.

Telling ya'll Rogers, Woods, or Hopkins are the guys this team should target.

Why Thompson over Streeter?

As much as I like the project of Streeter, I don't think he will ever be that guy. I think Thompson offers better production. Just my 2cents

All in all, Ravens need to find a Q replacement and that means a 1st round pick....sooner or later.
Interesting discussion tho.

I'd keep Thompson and Streeter just because of natural ability. Doss hasn't shown much improvement since he has been here and this may anger people but I wouldn't keep him much longer. Fans around here tend to believe our young guys are bound to be future pro bowlers.

I'd like to see Anquan Boldin, Tandon Doss, Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones, Tommy Streeter, and Deonte Thompson along with a rookie brought into camp. Let the 7 of them compete for 5-6 spots.

Truth both of you i believe jones and boldin will be gone as for s-teams let asa and tryann mathieu( which i want us to draft in the 4th or 5th) do returns i think tommy or thompson should be our 3rd wr and we draft some one early in the 2nd like rogers to be our number 2 torry becomes our number 1

There are tons of KR who can be had for cheap. Why would we want a guy like Mathieu on the team who is a complete headcase and wouldn't have a position to play on either side of the ball? Nevermind the fact we could get a 3rd down pass rusher or slot WR in those rounds. If we take a chance on Mathieu it had better be as a UDFA, anything else would be a waste.

thats the same thing most people said about Vontaze Burfict last year and look at him now the kid is a beast like we knew he could have been but the ravens didnt wanna take a chance on him in the 7th smh the kids worth the pick hes an outside /slot/and can play safety cover corner hes worth the 4th or 5th round pick and so was Vontaze Burfict

Anyone ever think about signing Johnny Knox? He is coming off a sort of bad injury but that just makes him eligable for a cheap contract. He is very fast and is a good deep threat. He was very productive for an underrated receiver and also returned a couple kicks for TDs so he has return skills too.

He is a starting MLB who leads his team in tackles...thats like saying a starting QB leads his team in passing yards haha Hes not a beast he is a good tackler who has the privilege of working with a pretty stout d-line, and he still misses tackles here or there. He needs to work on his coverage too, off the top of my head I remember Trent Richardson burning him on a pass pattern that he was trying to cover that went for a TD. You have to look at the big picture he will have that bad work ethic and poor attitude baggage for his entire career,it may be gone now but Im sure we will hear from him again.
