The bets are in. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake looking to go 3-0 on the wings of the Ravens.

Crab stakes: Mayors make Super Bowl bet
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake of Baltimore enters into a little friendly competition with San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee over the Super Bowl.

By Scott Stump, TODAY contributor

VIDEO: http://video.today.m.../today/50664005

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake of Baltimore and Mayor Edwin M. Lee of San Francisco announced a friendly bet on TODAY Friday that involves a day of service and some cracked crab for the loser. The winning team’s mayor will host the losing city’s mayor to do a day of work with AmeriCorps to promote volunteer service. The losing team’s mayor will then taste defeat in the form of a signature delicacy: getting their hands dirty cracking either Dungeness crab in San Francisco or Atlantic blue crab in Baltimore while wearing the opposing team’s jersey.

Speaking of bets, do any of you guys know if the Ravens usually choose heads or tails for the coin toss?

That's actually quite an awesome bet.

AmeriCorps does some great work around the country and I'll bet some don't even know what it really is.

I saw this on FB tonight:

The National Aquarium and the California Academy of Sciences are having a Super Fish Bowl on FB. Each has an official Super Fish Bowl photo and, from now until the end of the game Sunday, they'll be counting FB likes on each SFB photo. Whichever team wins the game, their aquarium will receive $1 for each like up to $5,000 from the loser and the proceeds will go to animal care and conservation work.

I thought it such a neat idea!

"Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It’s basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating.”--Simon Pegg

Of the top of my head, it seems like they usually pick heads. I'm not really sure though.

Depends. Depends upon what answer comes to Ray when he prays before the toss.

If we win, we are probably deferring though.

Deferring is great especially when you 3 and out the other team. This isn't Madden so it's not that important since the quarters are so long. If you can defer and manage to score first it's great. Keep the other team on their heals and start the 2nd half with a long drive to demoralize the other team.

Also great for momentum on 2nd half adjustments. This goes either way though. If you start the 2nd half with a score or a defensive stop it really changes the game.

Now that's a bet I like. It's nice to see that they care.
