That's a shame, big bro wouldn't do that. Mom & Dad have to be saying / thinking "oh no".

I understand passion, our Harbs has passion and the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties to prove it. What Jim does is just ridiculous.

What really kind of annoyed me all game long (hell, all playoffs long for that matter) is how so many of the sports broadcasters seemed to be total shills for the opposition.

Its like they were secretly terrified that our Ravens could shatter their pathetic microcosm of a life in which their predictions are some kind of ultimate authority on all things football, and they were constantly trying to justify it.

I could be just overly sensitive I suppose, but it sure seemed that way to me guys.
[/quote] I think it was that early on they were praising the Ravens for playing well, because obviously they were. Yet at the same time they tried to even it out by talking like Kaepernick was a god for some 15 yard throws over the middle and other menial things. "Great no-throw!" "Great decision to hand the ball off!". Just to try and sound impartial.

Too late, it's over now. But it was kinda short (about a minute) and was nothing special anyway.

Agreed. Give me a break. It was within five yards and Crabtree shoved Jimmy down

Great no call there, sir. Funny, Joe is the MVP but all Phil Simms wanted to talk about was the immaculate pumpernickel.

Yeah who cares about Joe Flacco throwing for 3TD's and no interceptions in the entire post season. I love our team. You and I are celebrating together later this week or sometime soon, talkin'. My buddy since middle school. Go Ravens!

It reminded me very strongly of the Falcons game, when Collinsworth, I believe it was said "That was a good incompletion." I'd give you one guess if it was for Flacco or Ryan, but I think we all know the answer.

They can say all they want about Kap now, at the end of the day, or rather the end of a very long night, when all is said and done, he is one of the losers.

Edit: Pleas, someone, anyone, tell me what Dilfer said.

As much as I would love to stay up and relish in our victory, I work in Rockville and 6:30 AM comes awful early when you are me.

This has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life thus far, and I will cherish these memories forever.

I can't wait to reread this thread tomorrow on my lunch break, and I hope I see some of you guys at the parade.

First round is on me of course :)

Night ladies and gents. My heart is still beating so fast sleep may prove difficult, but I am going to give it a shot.

I had no idea that Boomer Esiason hates the Ravens so much. What's that about???

I turned to ESPN a minute ago, all I heard Dilfer say was that "This game is bigger than Flacco" My paraphrase begins: it's bigger than individuals its about the hope and resilience and all that good stuff that team showed in order to make this happen... [/end my paraphrase]

He had already been talking though, I'm sure.

Edit: He just criticized the Niners for not taking advantage of Baltimore earlier than they did.

Hmm so what, a case of "The Niners lost the game" rather than "The Ravens won"?

Maybe, but I'm flipping channels and I didn't see enough to make me feel strongly either way.

It's great they won, and appropriate how it was done, in light of what their plight has been this season. This has been one wild ride! I've said a lot of ridiculous things in the heat of the moment this season, but this forum is so great, it lets one vent during the game which is better than having to replace the remote or patch up the wall! :) Anyway, thanks to all for sharing in such an epic season. See you next year for another great run with the Ravens!

In case you're still interested, this was posted in another thread.

Crabree didn't think it was PI at the time, but he's singing a different tune now in post game interviews.

As Trent Dilfer said, if you don't make that call on the out of bounds hit on Flacco, which would have extended a Ravens' drive, then you don't call ticky tack contact. It would be rewarding the team for a bad play and that is not the point of penalties.

They can all go jump off a bridge. The refs pretty much just let them play. Torrey was getting mugged all game. Joe got hit out of bounds. Pierce got horse collared.

/rant done

Anway, how bout them Ravens? wooohooo!

I'm interested to see what our guys who went have to say. The announcers kept trying to say it was a 49ers friendly building, but the TV was way louder when our defense was on the field.
