Maybe a 6th or 7th. I'd rather keep him though and hope he improves in his final year. Plus depth purposes.

From Brandon's profile, he's 16yo. Let's give him a break. With that said, Brandon, I won't correct you too much. Go look at trades made for players. You'll see a common theme, which is that teams don't really give picks away.

When you have a trade, you need an exchange in value. You have to have a buyer to trade. Nobody in their right mind would give up a 4th for Cody unless they wanted to get fired. Antwann Barnes, the OLB/DE we traded to the Eagles got us a 7th I believe, and he had talent as a pass rusher. We traded Mark Clayton for a 6th.

Please look up trades made and see what value teams got for players. Brandon Marshall netted the Dolphins two 3rds. That's one example. Brandon Marshall is an elite WR. He has issues, but he's really good. He's proven. Cody is not proven. Is he very much still developing. We'd be lucky to get a 4th for him. Really lucky. If it happened, the FBI might investigate.

I've seen all I've needed to in the three seasons he's been here. He's a bum and it's time to move on.

Definitely wouldn't write him off yet. I think they have him gain a lot of his weight back and be strictly the 2-down lineman he was drafted to be instead of slimming him down to try to turn him into a 3 downer. Isn't his niche.

The question is who will take him. I cant see any of these teams taking him given they can all draft a very good player at that position where they are picking.

Cowboys really need a DT, I think they would be the only ones to trade a 6th or 7 for him.

Its not going to happen though, no point in discussing it.

It seems to me like everyone is so quick to trade this guy or cut that guy. As some have already stated, this is not video games or the MLB. Trades are very rare in the NFL. And when they are made it is almost always a highly paid "star" player from one team being traded for a middle round draft pick. The team trading the player nearly always in need of clearing salary cap. And there must be competition for the player in question or the team trying to aquire the player has to reason to give up a valuable draft pick (Steve mcNair comes to mind)

Also you have to allow time for players to develop. Before this season many were ready to give up on Ellerbee as well as Kruger. now everyone agrees these are valuable players. To me (injuries asside) there is no reason to give up on Cody, or Oher or mcclain.

We're still getting rid of Flacco at the end of the season, right? ... and now Cody also? Sure hope they win the SB first.

Torrey Smith, Ray Rice, Ngata, and Suggs are all gone to. We are trying to get every pick in the 6th and 7th round. Brilliant!

Hey that's brilliant. We should definitely trade Cody for a 1st. While we are at it, we can trade our 2nd round pick for the #1 overall pick in this year's draft.

Cody is not a very good player. I actually think Hall plays better. We'll keep Cody on the roster because of his rookie salary but there are no guarantees he comes out of training camp with a roster spot secured pending on who we bring in via draft or free agency.

This. We really need another impact player on the D-Line. We saw in the 49ers game how losing Ngata was a big loss afterwards when it came to our run game.

we spent a 2nd round draft pick on cody. i doubt the ravens will give up on him yet. they've been known to give their high draft picks the benefit of the doubt. look at how long they kept kindle around. they gave kyle boller every chance in the world. i think they still have high hopes for cody.

rounds 1-4? Like a 1st, 2nd,3rd, and 4th? For Cody? Hell yea, I would love to get picks anywhere in the 1st three rounds for all our underachieving players.
