Guys.......You are a part of this team as much as anyone else! When you are telling your grandkids years from now that you were part of Superbowl 47, and show them your ring, who the heck will care if you were a starter or practice squad? Be proud you are a Raven.....we all are proud of you!

Not just that, Ed likes Belichick's fashion sense with the cutoff sleeve hoodies...

Marshal deserves so much more respect from this league. I know the Ravens appreciate him though!
[/quote]

I loved in the recent behind the bench video where you hear Reed saying, "there is no other Yanda In the world". His teammates appreciate him, as I'm sure all true ravens fans do.

Yeah that sucked hearing, but unfortunately there is a good chance for that to happen.

Talk about distractions. Ray Lewis playing his last game is under siege by the press, and Ed Reed is looking at himself as a Patriot. Couldn't this have all come out after the Super Bowl? I can't imagine this does anything positive for morale.

He needs to focus on the task at hand and not what next year might bring

This media frenzy is only increased by the stupid and false allegations regarding Ray Lewis.... it is a shame that such nonsense can hijack the moment for Ray!

I say if Reed wants to play for the Pats next year, then don't let the door hit you boy!!Flacco knows Ed better then any QB out there,he practices against him everyday!! Reed should look at JJ,Grubbs, and other free agents that left Bmore.Yall think they wish they were still Ravens now?So like I said Ed,Don't let the door hit you boy!!There is no Ed in team anyway!!

Ed Reed is not going to play for the Pat's. Stop tripin. And Bilicheck don't pay big money anyway. It's media day. Duh!!!

Only a sucker would fall for that statement.

Why is everyone's immediate reaction to something they don't like accusing the player who said it of not being focused enough? Just because Reed said that he respects Belicheck and would like to play alongside him, doesn't mean that he'll stop focusing on the game and decide to fixate on playing for the Pats next year.

Poor Yanda, he's arguably the best Lineman in the game and yet he gets no attention. Sad, really, because he's one of my favorite players. If I were a journalist, he'd been one of the first people I'd look for.

Once upon a time there were quotes about Ray Lewis wanting to play for the Dallas Cowboys. People on this board villified him then too

Is that how people in North Carolina address grown men nowadays?
Is that how people in North Carolina address first ballot Hall of Fame candidates?
Is that what you said about Ray Lewis when there was talk of him wanting to be a Dallas Cowboy?

Or are there just some other types of undertones here?

Just curious...

Randy Moss quoted as saying he is better than a 49ers legend...an NFL legend. I don't think that does anything positive for morale...but then again, their team is so young that they might not even really really know Jerry Rice's play like that.

Point is, you might be making more out of the situation than necessary. The thin Mile High Air and seemingly -6 degree weather didn't hurt morale. Tom Brady's 67-0 record when leading at halftime, didn't hurt anybody's morale.

I think these guys will be alright

If it is actually true, Bellichick does a good job of drafting guys that can make an impact every year. I also saw that the coaches on his staff are all fairly young. Hell their defensive coordinator might be the same age as Josh McDaniels who is only 34 or so. I point that out since Reed does want to be a coach in the NFL.

If it were actually true, he'd have a hell of an opportunity to build his resume during that next phase of his NFL career.

If he doesn't retire, and stays in Baltimore, fans will be criticizing him like they've done all season long. I've seen several people go so far as to call him a liability in pass coverage. If he leaves, people will be criticizing him like his name was Kyle Boller or Oniel Cousins even though he has like 60+ career interceptions and saved Baltimore from a lot of losses in the Boller/Billick era and made play after play while battling significant injuries.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that he calls it a career if we win it all anyway.

OK - Earlier today I said I wasn't going to view anything sport related until the game started. That will go for the national media, but I'll still allow myself to come here to br.com, read our home articles and chat with true Raven fans.

So, I read this article and say ... when is this nonsense going to end and our guys can get down purely to football?
