Eric Fisher. I think he us the best OT in the draft. He would be our LT for years to come.
Over Joeckel?

Yeah. I like Fisher more. Joeckel had the benefit of teams not really trying to get after Manziel because if they broke contain he would kill them with his feet. Fisher was outstanding in SB practice and game.Over Joeckel?

If a tree falls down in the woods and no one is around to hear it, do the Steelers still suck?

I wanted to make an observation about the Senior Bowl as I think a lot of people think that certain players will move significantly up or down draft boards because of their performance in this game.
I dont think this is the case at all. There probably will be some players who garnered some extra attention (mostly small school guys that might have slipped underneath the radar), but for the most part the actual game will have little to no effect on most players draft status. It is really more of a confirmation on the body of work than anything else.
Most NFL scouts don't even stay to watch the actual Senior Bowl. They have done their work over the course of the past seasons to evaluate these players. What happens in the game needs to put in perspective. Often players are playing in roles that they are unaccustomed to and the rules are very basic. It is an exhibition game just like the Pro-Bowl. There are basic coverages, no blitzing, etc.
Just thought I'd point of he contradiction here.
Also, fisher wouldn't even be talked about , or lane Johnson for that matter, in the top half of the draft if Matthews and lewan came out. Both where widely thought of as 2nd round picks prior to that.
Now maybe you always tought highly of fisher but I never heard him mentioned by anyone here much. I think a lot of people are just getting carried away with him because he's the second ranked tackle in the draft be default.
Disclaimer to abuse, I haven't seen him play much if at all, so I'm ot commenting on his level of play, just his rise up the boards appears to me to be more due too two players going back to school than his performance. I wouldn't like to draft that kind of player n the top 10 personally, again saying this without seeing much of him.

I didnt contradict myself at all. Go back and read what I said again before jumping to conclusions. He stoned everyone all week in 1v1 which just solidified what I already saw on tape, he just had to prove it against better competition but the talent was always there. I've always had him as a first round guy and rated him about equal to Lewan, in fact I was probably the first person to even bring his name into the discussion. Comparing him to Joeckel I don't really see much of a difference, but the fact that Joeckel had the benefits of blocking for a unique talent like Manziel had made me re-evaluate a little bit. Both are very good, but I give a slight edge to Fisher.Just thought I'd point of he contradiction here.

my point was when someone said such such will rise because of their performance this week you posted that, then you used the senior bowl to support a player you liked. Either it does have value or it doesn't. You can't say well your over valuing it for one prospect then use it as the main argument for another, which many are for fisher because he played against weaker talent.
If your Kansas do you take him then? Not what you think they'll do, what you would do if you were their GM?
I said the game itself doesnt have much value. The practice is completely different.
