I was just thinking about how good of a prospect he is. Runs good routes, Solid size for a WR 6'0( looks closer to 6'1), weighs 182 to 187, he has good hands as well. The best thing about him is his speed, he blows by everyone. Depending on his combine which I assume will be good, he can go late 1 to early 2.Wheaton also had a suspect Qb throwing him the ball, but still managed to put up big numbers. Wr for the ravens next season might have some openings like, david reed being gone, Q maybe being gone in a trade or released due to his cap number, and for the people who like Tommy streeter and Deonte Thompson they are talented but raw, with questionable hands. Jacoby Jones will be in his last year of his contract after the 2013 season, Tandon doss is still unproven. Maybe I just like speed receivers a lot, but If a tackle isn't there in the bottom of the first round I would take him there.

As much as I also love him I am not sure he has first round value. While he may go in the first ala AJ Jenkins last year and honestly looks like a better prospect than AJ Jenkins there are several WRs who I would rate ahead of him (Hopkins, Allen, Patterson and more)...I would value him more in the second round but he really has proven to be someone that con both win deep and in short and intermediate routes--I hesitate to say he can be a go to #1 though.

I like him as well but I think he's a guy you could get in the second.

Eh, not really a big fan. Definitely wouldn't give him any consideration in the first and I'd take just about everyone rated similarly (Justin Hunter, Da'rick Rogers, Quinton Patton, Robert Woods, Stedman Bailey and Terrance Williams) over him. Something about Oregon State players I don't trust. The school just doesn't produce quality NFL players (Steven Jackson being one obvious exception).

Yea I feel as though his value is in the second round, but remember when Mike wallace went in the third, if it was a redraft he might be top 15. I compare him to Mike wallace based on size, build, speed, but Wheaton does everything else better than Mike wallace. If we win the Super bowl I would draft him in the first, if we don't I would not. how does that sound? :D

Didn't Chad Ochocinco/Johnson go there? And as big a pain in the A** as he is attitude wise he was a damn good reciever.

Chad Ocho and Jacquizz Rogers came from there, it's not incredible but it ain't half bad either.

To me Wheaton is more of a better fit with Joe in my opinion. I feel he is better than Woods, Bailey, and Patton. Da'rick is another guy I like, and who has great skill set. I wouldn't mind Da'rick either, but Justin Hunter to me will be gone before then. I also think Allen from Cal is good slot Wr as well.

I knew there was someone I was forgetting, but even then that's 2 players, which isn't exactly a great pedigree.

Also, as nit-picky as it may be, Wheaton is listed by most reputable scouting sources as 5'11". I just think there are too many players with a better skill-set that are valued similarly to him. I think both Woods and Patton are much better prospects than Wheaton and I'd be really disappointed if we passed on either for him.

Obviously it's all opinion, but Wheaton's way down my list of wanted receivers in that late 2nd, early 3rd round group.

Wheaton did measure in at 5'11, 180 at the senior bowl but he plays ALOT bigger. I really like his style and I think I would put him right after my top tier of Cordarelle Patterson, DeAndre Hopkins and Keenan Allen...Than I have a bunch with Terrance Williams, Justin Hunter, Robert Woods, Tavon Austin, Darick Rodgers, Quinton Patton and him. At this point he has begun to atleast separate himself from others. I would probably have him behind Terrance Williams and Justin Hunter. However I need to look at them all one day to get a better feel.

My biggest problem with Terrance Williams is that he is going to be a 24 year old rookie. Not a big fan of spending high picks on older guys. Da'Rick Rogers has a ridiculously high ceiling, but his off field issues are going to make him fall which could be good for us. I do think that this team is a good fit for him if, he can keep what is in the past in the past. From what Ive read from his coaches at TN Tech, he was mature and became a team player. I think him being kicked off TN really humbled him.

Not a first round prospect

would you care to elaborate why? while I agree I think he very well could go in the first. He does have the production, speed, hands, route running..his only real knock is size and he plays like he is much bigger. Do you mean this in the sense you do not value him as a first rounder or that he wont go in the first?

there will probably only be one or two wideouts taken in the first due to a huge run on dlineman IMO. If we wanted him to be our first pick we better trade back.

He's also well down my list on wide outs. Rodgers, Patton, studman bailey, Austin, Williams, Dobson are all second round guys I'd rather have.

I think his size is a knock. I put him solidly behind Patterson, Allen, Hopkins and Austin. Those guys are all first round talent IMO. Austin is small as well, but he is more physical and explosive than Wheaton,

Hunter, Woods, Wheaton, Williams, maybe Bailey and Patton are 2nd round guys.

We can get a MLB not in the first round. Jordan Campbell a transfer from USC is pretty good, only knock is he is undersized.

not a 1st round prospect 2nd-3rd. I think our organization trusts Torrey Quan and Jacoby to hold it down. I dont see us drafting a WR until the 4th round at the earliest.
