One other X Factor, our defense has been way better than the 49'ers as of late.

Average points allowed over the last 4 games:

49'ers - 31

Ravens - 18

I like our chances. :)

McPhee #90 is a big X Factor, he will get a sack or tipped ball, he's healthy and playing his best ball now.

These guys are all significant. I still think Jacoby has another return in him before the season is over. I don't think any of them are X-factors though.

An X-factor is a player that isn't contributing every game. These guys all contribute and I can't imagine that any of them will have so many mistakes that the rest of the team can't overcome. Last game Tucker only came on for extra points...before that, he only came on for the game winner. Point I'm making is that the offense is so good that we don't have to consistently rely on him.

McPhee is balling every day. If there's a fumble, he's somewhere around the recovery. Gosh we have such a great team!

I would like to add Corey Graham. He started the season as a special teamer and now he comes up with some really important interceptions!

Ok I would be one to go out on a limb and toss in Chykie Brown... yeah he probably isnt getting interceptions left and right... but guess what he's not doing?... sucking... yeah thats right.. as soon as he started, i remember QB's going at him and he held up he's own.. apart from that communication misque with Corey Graham vs Pantsies... he's being more than subpar... listen there are two reasons people call ur name during a game... either u just made a play, or u just screwed up a play... Chykie brown has being neither... just show up and do ur Job.. simple and straight forward... and becuase of this, he has made QB's look else where to find an open man instead of just feeding on him... thats a difference maker.

keep balling my friends

We will finally get to see how good Justin Tucker really is!
[/quote]Was watching Super Bowl V highlites, the Baltimore Colts (the only real and true Colts team) won that year with a Field Goal as the clock ran out, but what I did not remember is that the FG was kicked with our Rookie Kicker Jim O'Brien. This year Tucker will get a chance to shine in the game and I am sure he will come through with what ever is needed when asked.

How about Paul Kruger and Sizzle. 99 flashed vs the Colts, 55 balled in Denver but neither hit home vs the Pats. Lets get them back on the scene. Also the NT has to show up. SF's read option involves a lot of running up the middle, so we can't afford Cody and Maake getting pushed around out there.

I could say some guys on offense getting involved but I like how we've been doing the past few games. Go Ravengers!!!

I predict that McPhee has a monster game in swallowing up Frank Gore. Let's get that trophy baby!

P mac has been a little bit of a disappointment this yr i forgot his lingering hamstring injury ...

We get this man & Art jones playing to there full potential with Ngta & possibly a Beastly Rookie DT we could have a seriously great Front again in Baltimore

Its been frustrating all season watching our front loose in the trenches

I agree with those factors. And I want to take this opportunity to just say THANK YOU RAVENS for this stupendous performance. I don't know whether any of you will read this or not but just thanks!!

I've really felt good this week about the victory over the Patriots. I can't get enough of watching the highlights and the pre-game hype. The main reason we won that game was that Joe kept slinging and the defense stood tall. I think we easily handle the 49ers.

Pitta across the middle, healthier Suggs, healthier Pierce, confident Flacco, and confident Caldwell are all things people are sleeping on.

Why would anyone "vote down" someone for saying "X-Factor Ed Dickson". That's a valid point. Pitta has become the starter, and has had great success this year. But had it not been for Dickson's injury, he would have had a bigger season as well. People must have real short memories to forget that the former Oregon standout had 500 yds. and 5 TDs last year. Pitta has better hands, yes, though if you haven't noticed, he's dropped a few this year himself, including in the playoffs. But Dickson is still a playmaker, and having two talented tight ends, which we do, goes a long way.

Neither of them quite measures up to the complete package that Todd Heap was, in my mind, but the two of them together give defenses something to think about, along with our WRs and RBs. So don't discount Dickson. He is a weapon, and a potential "X-Factor", for certain.

I believe Kruger should be mentioned as well. He will be a key figure in disrupting that "Read Option" game that SF will try to force on us.

I have to agree with the post below. This has been an awesome season! I live in Denver and I bleed Black and Purple and it was so awesome to see us come up with that win. Albeit I sprouted two more grey hairs but it was one of the best games I've seen. To top it off with a win against the pats in their house I love it. I think the 49ers create some problems with a mobile QB but I think people underestimate that not only do we have a good defense, we have a veteran defense that is not as easily fooled by Sanfrancisco's pistol offense. If Flacco continues to play they way he's playing and we can establish the running game this should be an easy win for us. Great Job Ravens!!

X factor = Vonta Leach. This is possibly the only FB that can blow up Willis, Bowman and Brooks. He'll give Rice & Pierce good running lanes the 49ers defense isn't used to seeing.
