They've never given the MVP to the losing team but there is a first time for everything.

Actually, they have. A Dallas player won MVP in a losing effort. It was a trivia question on the radio yesterday.

I have to vote for Jacoby Jones, the guy has had big plays either returning or big clutch catches in alot of games... Pats at home, Dallas at home, single-handedly defeated the Steelers on the road, of course Denver on the road. not even mentioning the field positon gains as well. how about 1 receiving, 1 rushing , one kick off and one punt return... realistic?

Lineman can't advance the ball haha
I think I remember during a playoff game between New England & Indianapolis, the ball was fumbled and an offensive lineman picked the ball up and advanced it for a touchdown.

So, unless the rule has changed. I believe they are allowed to advance it, it's just that most of them don't as they are not the most agile and it's easier for them to just fall on the ball.

The Fumblerooski is still legal though as long as the QB drops the ball on the ground BEHIND him and not in front of him.

I really do think that, out of any player I have ever seen, Ray Lewis is the one guy that could somehow elevate himself beyond his physical limitations for one game and make something big happen. I really think we may see something very special from Ray during this game. I have seen him do too many awesome things for far too long to discount the man due to his age, footspeed, injuries, whatever.

In this case, he said Flacco's ball would be batted and KO would catch it. Lineman can't advance in that situation. I'm not sure what the fumble advancement rules are nowadays.

In this instance, you are correct. Touche!

Perhaps if the ball were batted at the goal line and KO just happened to catch it IN the endzone. ;)

Touche. I suppose I should have double checked that before posting.

I might just go with Bryant McKinnie. I think we've only given up 4 sacks in the playoffs, and the one in Denver was in overtime. If we can contain Aldon Smith and Justin Smith I think our offense will be able to score a lot, and McKinnie will be a huge part of that.

I don't know. I just don't think there is a more unlikely hero than Joe Flacco himself. He's been disrespected (and the pundits STILL rank Ryan ahead of him smh) criticized, misquoted, and just plain bullied ever since 2008.

I want Flacco to put the team on his back and win us this game. I don't want anyone to be able to say "well, he didn't really win it".

It might not garner him the respect he deserves, but they might get off his butt somewhat.

got a feeling Ed Dickson comes up big with a bomb from Joe I like his matchup against their LB's down field despite his limited snaps.

Ed Dickson and Tandon Doss will both have TD catches in this game. Actually Doss will have a Tyree/Manningham type spectacular Super Bowl catch.

I feel Doss will step up and have a nice 3 catch 40yds 1TD game. Caldwell with 2the weeks to prepare will find a way to get Doss going. With Dickson, I feel the 49ers will key in on Pitta so much that Dickson will be able to get some great matchups.

On defense Jimmy Smith will finally showcase the lockdown potential the Ravens have been waiting for and he comes away with 2 picks.
