I really like this move. The Rams quitely have built themselves a pretty good defense. Having an aggressive coordinator like Ryan I think can put them over the top. They could very well be a top 10 defense next season. ...Now if they would only fix that O-line.....

What do you guys think?

Odd move in my book. I thought Jeff Fisher was a 4-3 guy, and I don't think he's going to mesh well with the boisterous Ryan. On top of that, Ryan's defenses haven't been that good. I'd hate to see a defense that seemed to be at least somewhat decent get derailed by some owner trying to draw in a big name guy.

Ryan is an overrated DC. He had such a talented Defense in Dallas and he still had poor rankings he was horrid in Oakland

They can only go up from here! They were 2 wins away from winning the division, due to their division record (4-1-1). Not to mention Janoris Jenkins is a beast!!!

Ryan is an overrated DC. He had such a talented Defense in Dallas and he still had poor rankings he was horrid in Oakland

When he was on the Cowboys this year he had to deal with alot of serious injuries. And tbh I think this current Rams defense has more talent on it then any other D Ryan has coached. Plus Fisher will be helping him out alot more then any other HC previously had.

I love this move for the Rams. Seriously, they will be very good on D next year. It wouldnt surprise me if they were a top 5 D. With 2 first rounders, that D will be stacked and Ryan's schemes only add to the danger.

That NFC West is now a 3 team race.

Update: Rob Ryan will NOT be the Rams Defensive Coordinator.

“After extensive conversations regarding defensive philosophy, the Rams and Rob Ryan agreed he was not the right fit for the DC position. The Rams will conitnue the interview process with the club’s other candidates for the defensive coordinator position.”
