I was walking around the street with a cup of coffee, and somebody stuffed a one dollar bill into it. I don't know what that was all about.

Maybe it was an invitation for a Fun in the bed party perhaps?

And here I thought I was insane for missing small chunks of games while going for a walk.

Are you going to watch the Super Bowl? If not, what are you going to do?

Well I have a medical school exam that Wednesday, so I'll probably be stuck in the library studying anyway. Killing myself over learning the exam material will at least keep my mind off the game.

I've worn the exact same outfit through the playoffs. On game day only. That would be pretty grimy otherwise.

I also refuse to take down any Ravens related Christmas stuff. The table next to my couch still has the 3 foot Ravens tree on it, I have a Ravens stocking hanging from my fireplace, and a Ravens Santa on the hearth. None of it will move. At all. Until after the Super Bowl. If we win, it may just be up forever and people just gotta deal and I'll be down a useful table.

I have a white authentic Nike jersey from 2000...I dont wear it, I hang it from the mantle during the games. Usually throw on a
Ravens sweatshirt or tee depending on the weather as I watch the games....worked so far! :oldwiseman:

I've never considered them superstitions.. more like idiosyncrasies - must sit on one of the sofa, must keep purple heels on for the duration of the game, and wings in the oven before half time. However, last Saturday, one of my favorite bowls was broken in the kitchen and it occurred to me that a lot had been dropped and broken over the past few weeks. While we were talking about what had been broken, a crazy pattern appeared. Two Fridays before, one of my platters was dropped and broken - the day before the AFC championship. The Saturday before that, my son dropped the butter dish - the day before the mile high miracle. I can't necessarily recall anything preceding the wild card round... but, if something hasn't been accidentally broken by dinner time Saturday, we will be tossing dinner dishes like it's a Greek wedding - and I will not grumble about cleaning it up this time:)

During both Super Bowls (XXXV and XLVII) my parents hosted a party at their house AND borrowed a flat-screen TV to set up a second viewing area to accommodate the number of guests they had.  I'm officially considering these two factors to be a requirement for any potential future Super Bowls the Ravens might make.  If they for some reason buy their own second TV at some point, I shall still insist that they borrow one haha.
