We've done this before. But its the Super Bowl! My brother's wife wanted to throw a Super Bowl party and I said "No! You can't mess with the mojo! We have to do exactly what we've been doing."

So here are my questions:

1) Are you superstitious? And if so, what are your superstitions or traditions going into the Super Bowl?

2) To Super Bowl Party or to do more of the same? What are your plans for the big game?

Got one of those as well.

I also haven't shaved since the first day of the playoffs. And I've been wearing the same '2000 Superbowl' tshirt everyday since the Colts game as well. Lets just say that I don't look pretty or smell nice at this stage of the game.

Do what I do every game. Put my black 52 jersey on sit on my lounge and get ready to get yelled at by the gf when I jump up celebrating and shake the light down stairs lol.

During the Denver game my wife got up twice. Once to get me a drink, and another time to take care of the kid.
Well, both times she was up was when Denver had the returns for touch downs. So she is not allowed to get up any more. I will get my own drink and the kid can handle her self.

I will be wearing the black 52 I wore for the whole playoffs and she will wear her purple 52 she wore for the whole playoffs.

I have a slightly oversized (for me) Flacco jersey and a football that I wear and hold. Haven't had a haircut since before the playoffs.

Also haven't changed my laptop wallpaper and user pic (to a Ravens one) - contemplating on doing so but not sure.

That's awesome.

During the Broncos game and NE game I went for walks outside when the other team had the ball. And it worked. Peyton threw the OT INT when I went for my walk. Ridley also fumbled when I went for a walk. So I'll probably be doing some walking on Super Sunday.

I am extremely superstitious. As an example, I have my wife watch the game and I come in to watch it only when we are leading and playing very well. I am mostly on chat, seeing the game through the chat and I sacrifice watching the game (the majority of it) and get my updates through Garrett or Ryan.

The other ritual I have is if we are trailing or if the other team scores, I go in and take a shower. In the shower I am begging that we have taken the lead by the time I finish up, so I holler at my wife asking her how we are doing? If she says we are doing okay, I run down like a rabbit to catch some of it before going back on chat! Otherwise, if we are trailing I am totally bummed and dejected for the game. And if we lose, I am off the forums and reading about the NFL for a full week till our next game!

So all in all, I am truly pathetic on game day! However, I must add that whenever I go through my rituals (especially during this playoff run), it has worked every time and I intend to continue my ritual on Super Bowl Sunday!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are crazy. I mean, I don't have any special rules or anything about what I do, but mine basically involves a carefully orchestrated sequence of sitting, standing, pacing, lying down, or crying with my head in my hands. Look what happened at Denver. You can't tell me that pass wasn't the result of me wandering around my room with a handful of tears.

No SB party. My fan hood sometimes doesn't travel well. I tend to yell, jump and cheer boisterously.

Playoff attire - same black Ngata jersey, same green cargo shorts, same black Adidas.

Radio pre game outside, leave radio on and may go out side during game to listen to Stan, Quadry and Jerry if I "get too hot". Radio broadcast leads the TV by about 8 seconds. Run back inside if things go well!

Its funny how we always feel that if we don't watch they'll do better. I am also the same way Uber-superstitious. I wish I wasn't, but I can't help it.

Ha ha! My Christmas lights are still up in the family room where we watch games. No way they would be put away before Festivus Maximus!

You have to be very headstrong to be able to walk away during those times haha. I could never do it. But yes, you must continue! And if for some reason it doesn't work (because this is probably the first time you posted this on here, the cycle might be messed up) then you gotta run, jog, skip, whatever works!..

Crap, this thread should be deleted. I'm not feeling good about it anymore, don't remember having any of these this year! :(

I'm suddenly a nervous wreck

I seriously can't take the stress especially when the other team gets the ball and is in position to do damage. The Denver game I made it all the way to the end of my street when I heard yelling and I faintly heard 'interception!', I went sprinting back.
