As reported by John Clayton on ESPN yesterday "Bad news for Baltimore fans.....Joe Flacco is looking for a deal in the $20 million dollar a year range minimum - very possibly MORE than that.."

Well as long as we win the Super Bowl Lewis, Reed, and Birk will retire so that frees up some space. We need to re-sign Ellerbe and Kruger. Can't see us keeping Cary Williams because of the immense depth at corner we now have. So hopefully that is enough space...if not, he will be franchised no doubt.
There is not enough $ for a contract of that size and Ellerbe and Kruger. He will be "franchised" by February to allow 4-5 more months to negotiate, but a deal will get done. I see little chance he plays on the tag this year.
I will say though, $20M+ is ludicrous!!!

Just as we all panicked and talked about life without Rice when it was reported he wanted Peterson money or better.

Eh I'm not worried. Just a week ago they reported Joe was willing to leave money on the table for other positions. This is all Linta, not Joe.

This.

I still I think Joe Flacco will end-up with a contract that's worth somewhere in the $17-$18 million range, yearly, that's stretched out for 7-or-8 years.
Come again?
