I know plenty of teams who would be willing to give up their first round pick for Revis.

I also share Woody Johnson's concern about Revis' ability to recover from his ACL injury.
We were lucky to see Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis come back miraculously from season-ending injuries in record time, but that was lightning in a bottle twice. A third time? Not likely.

Let's hope he doesn't go to the Bengals.

The money alone is the #1 reason Baltimore won't be a likely landing spot next year.

AP had a torn ACL and came back from it to have a MVP type of season as well. Trading Revis is the smart thing to do, because of Revis' history the Jets can get a first round pick and more for him and help rebuild the team using those picks.

Good move. It's not like they need him to win the Super Bowl next year. He'll leave when his contract's up but they'll have their compensation for longer.
Let's hope he doesn't go to the Bengals.
My money would be on the Buccaneers, and I can see the Jaguars doing it because they need to attract fans to their games somehow. Plus the Jags have an underrated defense already so they would instantly improve it with Revis.

I don't know the Lions salary cap situation but I'd guess they'd like him. They want to win now after a disappointing season and their secondary isn't great. I just think the Bengals are a perfect landing spot - they need a good corner to back up that pass rush and they have plenty of cap room. Plus they're not opposed to signing older CBs (as we've seen) and I think they still have an extra pick from the Palmer trade. Then there's the fact that they need to get over the playoff win drought barrier. My money would be on the Buccaneers, and I can see the Jaguars doing it because they need to attract fans to their games somehow. Plus the Jags have an underrated defense already so they would instantly improve it with Revis.

Revis's price tag is at least $6 million unless the Jets pay the team to take him, which could increase his value by a lot.
Revis is coming off an acl tear, which will reduce his form, unless he's like AP.
Possible Trade Team:
Bengals - They got $50 million to burn and have multiple 2nd rounders, which could interest the Jets. Can you imagine Revis, Hall, and Kirkpatrick in their secondary. Scary stuff along with their top 5 pass rushers.
Dolphins - They got multiple 2nd rounders too, but are the Jets willing to give their best player to a division rival?
Colts - They could be willing to give something big, if Revis is willing to stay there.
Patriots - They also have some space, but then again Revis on the Patriots. Dangerous.
Buccaneers - Big cash player, Revis could solve a lot of their secondary problems.
Jacksonville - They're rebuilding and probably won't offer Revis a chance to win in a while, but money talks.
Titans - They need secondary help too.

Let me bring this up for a minuet. My money would be on the Buccaneers, and I can see the Jaguars doing it because they need to attract fans to their games somehow. Plus the Jags have an underrated defense already so they would instantly improve it with Revis.
The cap space we save with Ray Lewis, plus the deal we are going to sign Joe to means we might potentially have the ability to restructure the contracts to get a player of his caliber.
The following players will most likely retire at the end of the year
Ray Lewis
Ed Reed
Matt Birk
Bobbie Williams
Kemo
Two of these are FAs. The others we save enough cap space for. Now if we can restructure the following players
Oher
Suggs
Boldin
Leach
Mckinnie
Pitta
And Jacoby
Will we have enough room for the FO to go get him in the near future? The answer is most likely, yes.
This is easier said then done, but getting Suggs Boldin Leach and Mckinnie structured will be a high priority to begin with.
Think of it this way, while we are not LIKELY to get a player of Revis's caliber via the draft, if we do, we will far and away have the best secondary in the NFL.
Revis is one of three players in the draft I would trade my first to get.
Revis, if Oz decides to make the moves to go pounce on him, might be the revitalization our D needs.

May shame rain down upon you from the heavens for the dastardly deed that hast been done!

Either get trapped on Revis Island or get caught in a Webb? I like the idea of that.

I can see the Jags doing it because Mathis and Cox will be leaving. No way we get Revis Irrelevant. Keep dreaming. This guy wants 12-15 million a year. I'd be surprised if a team gives up a first round pick for him. Your pretty much getting a one year rental unless you can afford him. If your a struggling team, simply wait for him to become an UFA. The guy wants a load of money and only dumb teams would give up a high draft pick to get a guy fir a year and then pay him qb money.

EDIT: My bro gave this to me in study mode and I see this crap lol! I was letting him give me an update and then I tuned him out *Bursts out laughing*. Hahahaha.
He thinks that Madden is the truth and we can give up a 7th for megatron, ignore these.
Hes going to the Lions imho. What's the cap space?

I think it would be smart for the Jets depending on what they can get for him. My fear is the Bengals trading for him, I can see 'em doing that and resigning him to a huge contract since they have the $ to do so.
But most likely be Philly would be suiters. You all know how they get down in the offseason.
