And all this from the guy who had a safety rule named after him (The Brady Rule) about unnecessary roughness. Figures. Whining wasn't enough for Brady in this game.

I had a woman come up to me today while I was wearing my Ravens hat and ask me if that was the team with the "Lewis guy". I really laughed. And I told her yep.

What a joke. The NFL fined Ndamukong Suh $30k for a kick that was debatable whether it was intentional or not because he was not looking when the kick occurred, although I personally think it was intentional.Brady was facing Reed, saw him coming, and decided to plant his foot on Reed's knee area - which Could have been catastrophic. Yet he only gets fined 10k??? While I understand both player's history, Brady's action was deliberate, dirty, and simply narcissistic. I don't see a difference between Brady's actions than when Suh stomped another player. Both actions were deliberate and dirty. Except, the NFL thought Suh deserved a 2 game suspension (around 164k) and Brady only gets a 10k fine???? You tell me if that's not double standards. The NFL is a complete joke and a travesty.

It is not enough considering it was intentional and that it could have seriously hurt Reed, besides if he had been flagged the pats would not have scored the TD that followed that play. - laura

All the patriot players dropped from the Pro Bowl game next week. Wow, they should enjoy the moment. What a bunch of sore losers. Not impressed with that organization, not 1 bit.

But the punduts are and Vegas. Yup a 9 point favorite. Where is ole' Skippy Peanut Butter Brainless @ now? Lets talk to Terrell Suggs about Flacco now, It will be a great story.

Everything Brady has done after 2007 has just been an epic fail. Sorry to see the once proud dynasty come crashing down around him. Once Brady retires New England will join Cleveland as the NFL's worst.

I see the insignificant amount of this fine as nothing more than an attempt to pacifiy the fanbase, while showing favoritism to Brady. Considering the damage this little stunt of Brady's could have done to Reed, personally, as a Ravens fans I view this as insulting!

My favorite part is the article on NFL.com reporting the fine that basically says the league overreacted, Pollard is a thug, Reed doesn't care, and to get over it 'cause Brady's such a nice guy. The original article I read on my phone described it as QUOTE "Brady slid and safety Ed Reed was nearby"

This was Tom Brady's version of biting his opponent's ear. It marks him as who he is at his core. He was trying to take Reed out of the game. Reed was keeping him from being able to throw downfield, and he saw his chance to injure him and get him out of the game.

It is ridiculous that Frank Gore was fined more for droopy socks than Brady was for injuring Ed Reed.

Granted his receivers dropped some very catchable balls, that game made me realize just how scared of a QB Tom Brady really is. There were 3 specific instances I can recall: running into a ref and falling down at the sight of Ray Lewis, kicking his legs up at the sight of Ed Reed instead of sliding like a normal QB (at least he got fined for it), and finally on 4th and 4, instead of running for a first down, possibly even a TD, he gets scared of Ngata who was far behind and throws a meaningless incomplete pass into the end zone. It's safe to say the Patriots were shook by the physical defense of the Ravens, especially for the 'invincible' Tom Brady.

The fine is more of a publication of the League's disagreement with Brady's actions than an actual punishment. I didn't think the league was even allowed to fine a player for something that wasn't flagged (remembered Brady wasn't flagged for this in the game), so the fact that they fined him at all is rather remarkable. I respect the decision, I was thoroughly disgusted when I saw Brady pull that crap Sunday night.

I've got a big problem with the terrible double standards that have become so apparent in this past season. We draw penalties every game for helm to helm shots that are good hits. Yet someone on our squad gets nailed like the shot on Pitta and no flag.! How about the refs not calling anything on Brady for the cheap shot to Ed, or the punt recovery when someone hit Ed after the fair catch was made.! I haven't watched the replay yet but I think that was also helmet to helmet.

I remember last year when Pollard injured Gronkowski, all the Pats fans were like he is an dirty player and should be fined and suspended, now Brady makes this and Pats fans still protect him and mean he got "over-balanced" pathetic excuse! I can't wait till Brady is done with NFL then I wonder how many loyal Pats fans there will be!

He's already in Malibu with his old lady, trying to deal with the PTSD imposed by the Ravens defense.

As A fan of Football, this is a joke. As a fan of the Ravens, this is insulting.

Frank Gore gets fined 10,500 for wearing his socks too low.
Tom Brady intentionally went spikes up into Reeds leg. Could of injured him and worse, only gets a $10,000 fine. That's pocket change to him. This is obviously displaying favoritism, double standards, and also showing the incompetance of Roger Goodell. I think no fine at all would of been less insulting.

Big deal! I did a little math. This fine as a percentage of his annual salary is like me getting fined 63 bucks. Big deal. Let's move on....

Hmmmm ... wondering

Do players still get paid for "Pro Bowl" selection
even if they don't go - due to injury or whatever?

Perhaps Brady injured himself on that slide! LOL

It's the Referees that didn't get it right, they also didn't get the hit on Pitta right either. I was called a conspirasy theorist for my ealier comments on the NO FlAGS against the Patriots in the game. I now feel justified, but the Refs in this game should be fined too! They talk about player safty with all these tough hits. What were they thinking of when Pitta took it the face, it wasn't player safty.

Brady isn't injured, it's just typical Brady. He dosn't want to get hurt playing in an exibition game. Nobody does. So, I agree they shouln't get the bonus check if they bail on the game for noreason.

I like the pro bowl selection, But I don't see the need to actualy play an all star game. Too much to risk for our best players in what is usually a lack luster exibition game.

I love that he's decided not to play in the Pro Bowl do to "Injury". Yep, his feelings are hurt.
