I am just like you, a Ravens' fan. Seriously, are you OK?

Evidently we do have the players to fit Cam Cameron's system. This is still Cam Cameron's offense we are running now. The only things that have significantly changed since Jim Caldwell took the reigns are the aggressiveness of the play calling and the ability to alter the strategy within a game(Caldwell seems to be more flexible than Cam Cameron in that regard).

Yeah I think Caldwell is a much better game adjuster then Cam . Cam seemed pretty inflexible or should I say
stubborn when it came to altering the game plan .

Wow... He seems so totally at peace with it, very remarkable; very commendable. I really do wish him the best next season.

I wish Cam the best and he deserves a great deal of credit for getting Flacco where he is. IMO Flacco's first year when Cam seperated the playing field into segments and for the most part didn't use the middle of the field as it turns out was a superb manevuer in assisting Flacco from making the big jump from Delaware to the NFL.

At some point over the past two seasons Flacco peaked with Cam. With hindsight in mind a move had to be made.

The only thing that bothered me slightly was the article stated "it caused everyone to look into the mirror" . That happens anytime someone is promoted , demoted or relieved of duties. I'm wondering in his mind if he's laying some blame on the players.

IMO Cam's weakness as an offensive coach was not getting the most out of the unit by not playing to the players strenghts. I also never got the impression he was using the playbook to set up other plays to exploit a defensive weakness not to mention gameplanning against that deficency.

Wasn't a Cam apologist, but wasn't a hater either. His biggest problem was adjusting. And the fact we didn't have the players to fit his system. Glad he's doing well and I'm happy for him. He should definitely get a ring when we win. As it was stated he was apart of this for 4 1/2 years and did do a lot of good, too.

This. It seems like we did in fact get Cam 2.0 in Caldwell and Mattison 2.0 in Pees. Both run very similar systems to their predecessors but the difference is that they know how to gameplan based on opponents not just based on he fundamentals of their offense and then adapt those gameplans to what they see on the field. Taken a step further, they both seem to actually build in a "test period" to their gameplans where they feel the opponent out and then put the pressure on. That, and they both LISTEN to their players and the other coaches around them. I almost cried watching NFL replay when Harbs and Joe told Caldwell it was time to open it up and throw on first down and it ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Ray told Pees to stop blitzing and just let them beat the soft Pats defense straight up and it ACTUALLY HAPPENED. This team man... this freaking team.

Cam was a vanilla, predictable play caller. Glad he's gone, he definitely cost us more games than he, himself, won. But he handled the firing with class, and I give him all the props for that

That's interesting . Would he get a ring if we win ? He was part of the team for most of the year.
No, it's the remaining roster and staff I believe.

He was fired, I dont think he will get a ring.

Do practice squad members get them?
Yes, that's if the FO decides to let them have rings.

We have to send him a ring IF we win. We have too. He got us some key wins (including NE in regular season) and even if he wasn't the best play caller for Joe, we are still using HIS playbook.

No surprise. These are still his guys. This is still his installed offense (for the most part). He's got connections with our players that goes beyond the job.

Plus if we win a Super Bowl he can show how he helped develop Joe and installed a winning offense. He just doesn't know how to execute it.

Ain't that the truth!!
