Haha. Awsome...representing in NZ huh?! Im in the middle of enemy territory... Just outside of Boston ;)
Too right! :D

TBF I see some NFL (and sometimes Ravens jerseys) around. Though I can never be sure if it's just folks trying to be trendy wearing American sportswear or if they're "True" fans.

So proud of my team and to be a part of Ravens Nation. Of course I really hope we win and I have this feeling we will, but regardless of the outcome I'll be happy with the result and sad to see Ray Lewis play his final game. Watching the Media Day coverage made this all finally feel as if it wasn't just a dream. Crazy. I think very few would have predicted this season would culminate with us potentially winning the Superbowl.

A little nervous. I don't take the 49ers lightly that's for sure. They sound like they are preparing well and a confident team but the Ravens will be ready - they know they have to be.

Love, love , love my team so much.
So proud of the way we are playing - I feel we will win the big prize.

Just want the guys to stay focused, and make sure there are no mistakes. I want us to WIN!!!
Big time. We still have to play the game, and score the points.

Of course, that is just so I can buy a new SB Championship tee shirt , the one from 2000 is old!!!

You're lucky. In my part of Nova there are no stores that sell Ravens apparel. Obviously this is Skins territory, but I can find Dallas, Philly, Seattle, and SD stuff easily, but Baltimore... Nothing.
I went into a store the other day and I was like ''what does a team have to do to get their stuff in these stores?''

I am starting to get a little anxious. Maybe I am just getting a little too uptight, but I am not a big fan of all this media circus stuff. I think it is just a little ridiculous that when we have the biggest game in 12 years coming up in a few days, instead of studing game film, practicing, or going over game plans our guys are sitting in front of cameras answering the stupidest questions on the planet and that irritates me for some reason. I know there is obligations to do this and maybe they are told they have to be all smiles, but I would take more comfort if they all acted like Mr. T in Rocky III or better yet like Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men.

Reporter to Pitta: "On a scale of one to ten how ticklish are you?"
Pitta: "Are these really the questions I was called here to answer? Please tell me you have something more, the legacy of Ray Lewis and the Lombardi Trophy for Baltimore is on the line. Please tell me a reporter hasn't pinned his Super Bowl pick based on how ticklish I am. What should we discuss now, my favorite color?"

Now all this distraction with Ray and the deer antler spray and the rumor that Ed Reed said that Ray may not be retiring now. This kind of stuff is starting to be a serious distraction and diverting our focus on winning this game and I don't like it on bit. During the playoffs our team appeared to have a chip on it's shoulder because no one gave us a chance to beat Manning and Brady on the road. I am just afraid they may be too overconfident thinking they already beat the best teams out there. I just don't want us to lose that edge - that eye of the tiger!

Maybe I just need to relax a bit and enjoy this moment...........yeah right.............if only that were possible. But am I the only one?

Obviously there are some distractions, but Tuesdays are typically the team's off days. Luckily, media day fell on a Tuesday so it didn't really retract us from our routine. The players actually seemed to enjoy it for the most part. I don't think it's that big of a deal, as long as it isn't keeping them from going about their business.

We are the villain in this superbowl, everyone is on the 49ers d*** so that usually works in our favor. The public usually pulls for the team with more history and the niners are 50 years older than we are

I think everyone is feeling this way. Media stuff is a bit much but I think it is good for our players. I would rather have them out answering stupid questions than sitting in a hotel room over thinking about the game. I think its good to be there early and enjoy the experience of being in a Super Bowl, they need to treat it as if it's just anther game but c'mon it's the Super Bowl.

Ray Lewis antler spray, consider the timeing. This guy is just trying to promote his product with some free publicity. I believe that Ray didn't take or use these products. It's the price of fame, just like Crabtree being accused of sexual assault. I wouldn't be suprised if something else came out about one of our players before the game.

Anyway, good luck in the game, I think this one will be one for the history books.

Now you have gone too far.
We get to practice in the swampland outfield of the Temple Baseball field. Now you are gonna try and put some BS on Ray???? Ohhhhhhhh Nooooooo.......I pity the fool......you have stirred up the hornets nest now, your fight isn't just with Ray, you are now taking on Ravens Nation. All the brothers on the field, and all the brothers and sisters everywhere.

Media, get it straight.....YOU MESS WITH THE BULL, YOU GET THE HORNS!!!!

Our team knows it has it's share of haters, but they also know that they got to the Superbowl regardless of their haters. Scratch that, the team used the hate of their haters as motivation to get this far, and this latest last ditch attempt to tarnish ray is just going to be used by the team to pull out the win Sunday. The most poetic thing that can happen is in the end as the confide is dropping, Ray holds the Lombardi while his and the team's haters sulk in misery. As for the sports media. I am not watching ESPN nor NFL network again until a few days after the Superbowl. I can get all my Raven's info right here.

My feeling about Superbowl so far: Media ruining our moment. We finally punched through after 5 years of near-SB run and now Hannah Storm/ESPN and rest of them are taking that away from us.

The players are suppose to bask in the glory of what they have achieved this year. Now those [profanity deleted]s made this into a circus.

A damn shame...

It's not as great as I thought it would be. I know on Sunday things will be totally different but I think the media is just ruining it for me. I'm so tired of hearing about Ray Lewis deer spray allegations. I haven't heard any interviews on players like Torrey,Birk,Yanda,Cary,Tucker,Ngata,McPhee,Kruger basically everyone not named Lewis,Rice or Flacco. (& barely any Flacco).

Then when they stop talking about Ray, they go on about how Kaepernick looks undefendable. Just tired of it. I wonder if all fans that team made it to the superbowl feel this every year?

Leading up to our last SB, it was all about Ray Lewis and the deaths in Atlanta. It was about how defenses might win Championships but not Super Bowls. It was all about how great the Giants offense was and we wouldn't hold them to 10 points so our offense wouldn't keep up. Vegas might have given us the odds in that SB, but the media pundits hated on us until the final gun.

I have not watched any (no lie) ESPN nor NFLN because I knew how it would go. The only things I know of the coverage is from the forums here and the few times I've hopped over to the ESPN site to check something mentioned here. I don't need it. I know where we are and what we went through to get there. They will not ruin it for me, the fan, and I'm sure that our veterans on the team are making sure it isn't ruined for our youngsters either.

Let the 49ers bask in their media glory and frenzy right now. We'll just do what we do and it will show on Sunday.
I should've taken your advice.

Long ago...

The media was really getting to me this year - especially the year we've had (Flacco's ELiteness, Our D getting old, our injuries, the way we won soe of our games, etc etc).

ESPN/NFL/CBS etc should just themselves the "Patriots, Cowboys, Eagles, Flavour of the week team; and everyone else" league...

4 days and alittle over 3 hrs to go and this past week and a half has been TOO SLOW! Seems like a month and a half.

Here's one for you guys.....
I found out last night that my brother is going to NO for the game. I'm happy for him but the downside is I will be the only Ravens fan in his basement watching with 15+ hardcore 49er fans. There will also be 7 or 8 Pats fans there. Seriously thinking about watching it at home by myself.

This week is going by suppper slow. With all the media hype and the Ray Lewis rumors floating around this week is leaving a bad taste in the mouth. Also as much as I love seeing our team have fun doing the interviews and taking tons of pictures and things along those lines, I hope we still have the eye of the Tiger we had when we entered Peyton's stadium with and left Tom Brady's stadium with. I hope we are practicing and working and preparing harder then ever this week.

The next 8 days leading up to Festivus Maximus are the BEST of times for Ravens and niners fans. We can turn to most any channel and see our Team being featured. We can carry our heads high knowing that we are at the top of the heap and envied by millions of other NFL fans. As we well know, this is a very elusive place to find and it should be enjoyed and appreciated to its fullest!

So try to ignore the envious folks talking trash. And try not to worry about winning this game, because our boys will go to NO and take care of that for us! Rejoice and know that we are extremely fortunate to be fans of the Greatest Franchise in the NFL!

Please feel free to join in and CHEER!

GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AFC CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
