Merged: Fan feelings on our upcoming Super Bowl

149 posts in this topic

The next 8 days leading up to Festivus Maximus are the BEST of times for Ravens and niners fans. We can turn to most any channel and see our Team being featured. We can carry our heads high knowing that we are at the top of the heap and envied by millions of other NFL fans. As we well know, this is a very elusive place to find and it should be enjoyed and appreciated to its fullest!

So try to ignore the envious folks talking trash. And try not to worry about winning this game, because our boys will go to NO and take care of that for us! Rejoice and know that we are extremely fortunate to be fans of the Greatest Franchise in the NFL!

Please feel free to join in and CHEER!

GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AFC CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing that anyone can say to bring me down. This ride and journey have been amazing. After they beat the Colts at home in Baltimore, everything else has been pure, sweet icing on the cake. No matter what happens, this is a season to remember. That Denver game is etched in my DNA now. They win this one, with who they beat to get here .... I may have to just cry. :D

I honestly still don't think this has set in yet for me. Yeah i went and bought the AFC Champions hat/shirt, but its still crazy to me that we are actually, GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL! It's been a long 12 years. I was 10 the last time we won it all, so i remember it, but faintly. I've obviously watched that game multiple times since then. But its nice to just finally be back in it. And it makes it 100 times better that its for Ray, for Art, for Torrey's brother, for OJ Brigance, and for Ravens Nation as a whole.

I'm still in disbelief that we're going to Super Bowl!...

The game in Denver was just out of my mind, and the trip to SB is even unimaginable...

Our guys had fought so hard to this end and they will finish it for us at NO...

I felt like I'm just marrying.....

I know what you mean. The Broncos win seemed so much more emotional, just because this one is sort of unbelievable. They actually did it. Vindication for last year. Honor for Ray. Its just huge.

I think the Pats game was/is unbelievable because we pretty well dominated that entire second half. It's like the Pats just disappeared. We took control and more less said see you Billicheat, we're on our way to the big game. lol

When we will know it is real is when we start to see the interviews next week of our players, our Ravens family, in New Orleans!

I was thinking about that today, 2000 was so different because there was only a week and I had 3 little kids and I thought it would not take so long to get back. After Irsay moved the team, the team I followed was in the Superbowl a couple times so I guess I never gave it a thought to how special it is,

Just take a second and think about our season. Reflect everything during these last 20 weeks, and where we're at right now...

It's amazing.

I live outside of and work in DC and I'm always proud of driving my ride sporting Ravens license plates. I have to say that there has been a little extra there the past month with our PO success. Now that pride is through the roof!

I don't think it has hit me yet that we are going to the Super Bowl. The excitement is great but right now I'm just nervous and want to fast forward to the game. I really really really want to see Ray Lewis end his career with a ring. I want to see Ed, Birk, Boldin, Suggs to all get rings they have deserved. I want this team for the entire off-season be the envy of the league. Nobody cares about Super Bowl losers. You came up short just like everybody else.

The excitement is great but so nerve racking. I want to spend the entire off-season gloating about how good this team was and that the 49ers "amazing defense" and "superstar quarterback" was all hype. I wish I could fast-forward to the game.

This is the perfect season to always look back on. You send the greatest defensive player of all time off with a ring. The whole team went through rough patches and came out on top. The Chargers and Broncos miracles. The loss of Art Modell and Torrey Smith's brother. Ed Reed breaking the INT Return Yard record. So much amazing things happened this season and I want to be able to look back and say I was there and went to the games and saw the miraacle season happen. What if we could do the impossible?

Hard to tell which one I'm feeling more. I guess it would be nervousness. Not that I'm nervous about playing the 49ers, just nervous about us.

Right now...I hate that there is a 2 week wait. Also, perhaps it is just me, but I would have thought this place would be way more active than it currently is, and I'm not talking about posters.

No One Winning Drive Behind the Bench stuff until Saturday. What's up with that?!

No video on the home page to commemorate. Then a hype vid next week.

Times like these do not come around all that often. We should know that right? Yet....I don't know.

I guess I'm just anxious for it to be time.

Far less nervous than before the Denver or New England games.
[/quote]
The Denver game wins the nervousness champion......

When we get to the final of the ultimate, it is not about nervousness anymore instead it's a nightmare cuz we came through so much tragedy and miracles to get to this day....but we.......thinking about it it's a nightmare for me....

The irony is that I'm more calm and relaxed about this game than any game the Ravens have played this year. From what I've seen of our team and in particular, Mr. Flacco in the last month, this one seems to be in the bag. No worries...might just take a nap in the first half...(yeah, I'm kidding about the nap)

Neither....yet

More like anxious just to get this thing started! 9 days, 17 hours, and 40 some odd minutes makes Dudeman a dull boy

I'm waiting to see all these people who are calm and relaxed start getting nervous next week. The game is over a week out, that's why you're not as nervous.

Nervous! I'm kinda inbetween that I can't wait but then again I'm so nervous I can wait....if that makes any sense lol. I just think we deserve it a lil more then they do. I mean obviously they made it this far as well and deserve it as much as anybody but as far as for players sake and windows of opportunity that maybe we have some older guys like reed and birk and so on that they may never see this chance again and the niners window is a little more open for there players. Got a lot of faith and really believe we win but ill probably cry if we lose lol

I think by the time gameday comes I will be more excited than nervous. The game that I was really nervous about was the Broncos game. That game was so emotionally draining that I actually felt strangely flat about the Patriots game last Sunday. Anything after that Broncos game was going to seem like a bit of an anti-climax though I suppose.

I am really nervous. Not quiet as nervous as the past 2 games but I was a wreck going into them. It's crazy how for the next week and a half my chest is going to feel weird, like my heart is skipping a beat now and again just because I'm thinking about it.
