I enjoyed reading number nine. The Steelers, Giants, and Patriots Super Bowl appearences are coming to a close. We will get Joe Flacco at least two rings if not more.

Billy Cundiff has been signed by the 49er's! How did you miss that story line?
[/quote]
because he was cut from the 49ers unless they resigned him just for the superbowl.

This one will do ya. How about the fact that with one more stellar game Joe can match or beat Joe Montana's record of most playoff TD's without an INT in a single postseason.
Or the fact that with a win in the bowl Joe Flacco matches Peyton Manning's playoff win and super bowl ring total?

all three are great. Flacco would finally silence all critics with a game winning drive. Tucker would give us some redemption and a lot of satisfaction after it was taken away from us last year. If I had to choose, it would definitely be Ed Reed. This could be his last game, or at the very least, last in a Ravens jersey. Plus he is playing in his home. How about Flacco leads what turns out to be the game winner. Kap out of desperation throws up a hail mary and Ed picks it off

So the moral of that story is, Flacco needs to keep that number at zero through the Super Bowl and I like our chances!

I love point #4. The old adage that "Defense Wins Championships" may not hold totally true anymore, but I'd like to think it could at least be said that "Defense is not Optional."

this is fun and all but let me add the top storyline for the offseason:
"Super Bowl Champion Ravens number 5 in power rankings for 2013 season"

cant wait to see us win the super bowl, get no respect, and go dominate and repeat. only thing that worries me is while vegas has us as underdogs, most analysts seem to be picking us.

JoeyFlex5: "Super Bowl Champion Ravens number 32 in power rankings for 2013 season" ESPN already said we would not be playoff bound next year because of losing Ray, though they basically said he was irrelevant all year. Why would they like us now? I am with Sizzle, they want us to be the villains let's embrace it.

Jim harbaugh was ray lewis's 1st sack.... i have a feeling a coach is going down on the sideline.... Sorry jim but you gotta do down you will be ray lewis's unofficial last sack. (His last sack will be alex smith when he starts)

the 49ers r gnna lose, their kicker sucks he is the worst in the nfl rating size. and the ravens want it more. flacco has been playing amazing and if 49ers bomb it here comes the defense with an intercepton. and cappernick idk if he can handle pressure from both sides we will see... we going to the ship boys!!!

The media should do a "where are they now?" piece on the "elite" QBs watching Joe Flacco play in the Super Bowl after he beat them.

I guess Peyton would be eating Papa Johns from his living room while Brady would eat sliders from the floor. :)

GO RAVENS!

If it comes down to overtime, then we surely have the advantage in the kicking department. I see us running the ball for 4-5 yards a carry in the second quarter again. The 49ers will be playing back to keep us from scoring on the deep pass. Our best option is use the short pass often. I think our defense is up to the task of bringing the Lombardi home to Charm City.

From that moment last year to the Super bowl this year. What an amazing story. Losing the Super bowl would damper the story book ending so we have got to complete the story of a lifetime and not let the running rookie ruin destiny.

I said it before, I wish the media would get off this elite crap. The only QB in this league that thinks he's elite is Tom Brady.
As far as this RAVENS fan goes, I'm happy with Joe just being GREAT!

I see it being a hard hitting defensive game. However I think we have the better offense and I believe that will be what altimately decides the outcome. ELITE QB JOE FLACCO SUPER BOWL MVP!

What urks me about all this elite crap is that, they are good QB's, Brady,Brees,Manning, but there is more to it. Those guys have had the privledge of some of the best O-line throught out there careers, they have also been blessed with some of the best receivers in the league. Joe Flacco is as good ,if not better then any of them. Look at Phillip Rivers, One of the best. But there O-line has been harable the last two seasons and look at his numbers. The way our O-line was playing early in the season, it'sno wonder the media talks about Joe being inconsistant, any of these guys would be. If the O-line can continue to play the way they have so far this post season, Flacco is going to crush the 49ers.

How about the pistol vs pocket passer...Many think that due to the success of three pistol passers that it is the future of the NFL. Much depends on defense of the pistol but not many D's figured that out this season. Plus the fact that we can't hit the pistol runner if he slides!

Counting down the day, hours, and minutes. Looking into making the trip, but OUCH$$$$!
It mabe a karma thing anyway at this point. Same chair, same clothes, same food and drink for the Broncos and Pats.

Pistal passers are not the wave of the future. Cunningham, Mcnair, even Vick were all pistal passers when they came into the league. Once Defences start to catch up with them and start knocking the crap out of them they star to learn to stay in the pocket ( if they want to have a long career ).

The pistol passer is different than the running/passing West Coast QB. It's even different than the option QB...that's why the current DC's are having to develop new techniques against them. I'm hoping the film from the Redskin game will allow us to develop a new method of defending this new system. Somebody is going to create a D to stop it...I hope it's us by The SB.

Unfortunately Kaepernick has not learned that yet, which makes him dangerous. However I just keep thinking about that hit by Haloti on RGIII and know that on any given Sunday, a guy like Kaepernick may have to learn what RGIII learned the hard way. It just could be in Super Bowl 47. Jim Harbaugh may want to have Alex Smith practice a bit with the starters next week.

The overlooked storyline!

11. Ed Reed returning to his hometown for the biggest game of his career in less than a year after the death of his brother!

A Raven victory may well be the platform he uses to announce HIS retirement!

Joe Flacco is "The Last Man Standing"! Retired all those gunslinger's and just has one more shootout remaining! I feel Joe Flacco is the lebron james of football! AFC Championship three times in his five year career and he is just getting warmed up, now that he has a coordinator that will put that arm to good use! Repeat and possible three peat can be done!

Kaepernick hasn't been hit yet, and if we contain him, then he will get hit. I'm sure he will see what Benard Pollard did to Steven Ridley, and I know Pollard will be looking to do the same to him. He also better stay away from Ray. I know our D will be hitting like mack trucks come Feb 3. This is gonna be a heck of a game, i just hope we make the most of the opportunity. This is a rare occassion. I'm really excited to see what we can do, and i think we should cut Flacco lose again, let him go get the rings for us.
