And Big Ray has said that he knows what winning a Super Bowl feels like and he wanted the other guys to know what that feels like.

Bring it home, guys!

We need to go into New Orleans and take care of business. Rice and Pierce will both have big games. Smith, Pitta, and Boldin will rack up the receiving yardage. Jones will continue to shine in the return game. The defense is our strong point these days. I really see us winning by more than a touchdown again. I picked us to win 34 to 24 over the Patriots and we won 28 to 13. I pick us to win 31 to 21 this time. World Champion Baltimore Ravens! Sure sounds good to me.

im SO so happy for our guys who have been on those championship caliber defensive squads, but the offense was never up to the same caliber, like Ed Reed and Sizz' and Haloti... who FINALLY get to shine and a superbowl stage to be on. Im so Happy for you guys. Go get your ring you so greatly deserve boyz. #Ravensnation pride

I think Smith is tired of all the attention that Ray is getting. I am with Smith on this one.
Ray's been hogging all the media limelight ever since he announced his retirement. Crying during the anthem etc. I get it. It must be hard for being in this for 17 years and having to say goodbye but can we not cry every time the camera is in your face? This is Ravens journey to the superbowl. Not just one man's.

Don't get me wrong folks. I am a huge fan of #52. But that doesn't mean I should like everything he does. He's getting a bit too emotional these days. The man lives on emotion, passion etc., I get it. I fear there will be a rift in the brotherhood (players) if Ray gets too much attention. Ed Reed is going to his first superbowl and could be playing his last game as a Raven or his NFL game. I don't see anything related to him in the media. #52 had his superbowl glory. I want Ed Reed to be all over the media. The guy has sacrificed A LOT.

Went to New England, we found no Weapons of mass Destruction. It was all based on flawed media intelligence.

I understand the sentiment of the players in that locker room. Yes they all want to win with Ray Lewis in the fold but they also realize that with Lewis' retirement there may very well be a major overhaul that should see most of the older guys gone either to other teams that may be farther removed from contention than the Ravens or off into retirement so yes the Ray Lewis announcement sparked an awareness that THIS may be the "Last Stand" for the older players coinciding with Lewis' "Last Ride". They all want to win... NOW.

The reason why the Ravens will win over 9ers, is because of our core of veterans who know how difficult it is to get to this point. Ravens will outplay the Niners!

You heard it here first: Anquan Boldin will be the Super Bowl MVP. This man has been imposing his will for the last couple of weeks now. He will not be beaten. Joe Flacco's numbers may wind up looking very impressive, but the man on the receiving end of those stats will be Mr. Boldin, going up strong and plucking everything that comes his way out of the sky.

Nothing could be further from the truth... look around a little more. I've seen plenty from ESPN, NFL Network, Yahoo Sports, and a few others who are making sure that they recognize Reed and others. A rift in the brotherhood? That's extreme. I doubt that you'd find a stronger locker room in any sport.

The 49er's offense just doesn't scare me that much. To be honest the Patriot's and Bronco's offenses were more dangerous. And we took care of them. What do you guys think?

Well, Ksk316, somebody did get you wrong and Negged you but was too cowardly to quote you and say why!

But I feel the same way you are about Ray's spirituality sometimes being a bit over the top in this NFL venue!

I support his right to believe as fervent as he does but the other day's press conference transcended into a evangelical harrangue - a bit wierd for me while I was in my "football mode"!

Every year produces a new team but expect next year to be drastically different.
We will probably be without Ray, Reed, Birk, Kruger, Boldin, C Williams, B Williams and who knows who else might be cut or traded.
We have younger replacements that I think the Ravens would like to get in there and see if they can be starters.

Great thing about the "Last Ride Bro Bowl" emphasis on a good story is it's deflecting all the TV Talking Head Expert Sports Pundits' st00pid questions toward Harbs and Ray!

Now, the other OGs can concentrate on the game itself!

[/quote]

I think it's a completely different type of offense.
Peyton and Brady are both hall of fame "pocket passer" QB's.
Kapp is more like RGIII but with horse legs. He can really get going.

We took care of RGIII pretty well and I think we would have stopped him at the end. We got caught with our pants down with cousins. We are also playing MUCH better now.

Kapp will have his moments but I feel confident that our D will be able to contain him for the most part and force him to pass in the pocket. In the pocket he is good, but he is no Peyton or Brady so we know how that will end.

Ravens make rookie QB's look like rookie QB's.

Cant wait!

I remember flying with my son to Tampa FL in 2006
when we shut out the Bucs to open the season!

That was Ngata's first game when he picked off Chris Simms and
rumbled, bubbled and stumbled returning it some 60 yards before
he 'ran outta gas'. That was a great day!!!

All he has done since is been a massive 'cork' plugging up the middle
of the D-line. He surely deserves to be going to the Super Bowl.

Thanks 92!!!!
