Refs need to call something here. I might sound kind of biased, but had this been anyone else than Tom Brady or Peyton Manning maybe, this would've been a penalty. You've gott call this man, that's a dangerous play.

How bout the hit on Ed during the fair catch ? No penalty

We were fighting the refs & the Patsies this game .
Seems like we always are against the Pats, though..

Didn't we have the same refs in the AFCC last year as well?

If I was reed, I would of ran into the leg and snapped it.

Brady is such a coward. He hit behind a ref on that one play as well!

Ed Reed just did a long interview on 105.7 the fan and he was very cool about both topics

1. Brady Slide - Reed said he respects Brady and doesn't think he's dirty. He said emotions run high, instincts kick in. It's all good. He doesn't think anything ill about the play.

2. Hit on fair catch - Reed called it merely 'incidental' contact. Didn't seem upset about it. Said he felt his groin injury and stayed down a bit longer because of it. He figured he had a tv timeout.

Not even a whisper from the media about Tom Brady kicking Ed Reed.

But all hell breaks loose if its Suh.

Thats just how it is

I think the media find it wasn't worth for their time cuz it's a girl kicking a man......

1. My issue with the cleating is that it should have been a flag and a fine. Suh kicked Schaub and got flagged and fined, but Brady kicks Reed and no one bats an eyelash. It almost feels like there's a taboo against flagging Brady (did anyone else see the mortified look on the head ref's face when he saw that one of the judges had flagged Brady for intentional grounding?)

2. It was helmet to helmet hit on a fair catch. I was under the impression that any contact with the returner on a fair catch is a penalty.

20 took the high road here and I'm glad he did. But Pollard is right, pure bull crap. I'm sick of this whiney brat and his team getting special treatment. There was an obvious bias towards the patsies last night and it should not be allowed to continue. Makes the NFL look very bad.

I'm glad Reed is over it, I would be too if we kicked their butt hahahaha, but in all seriousness that is ridiculous, whether or not he is okay with it, it should've been flagged with all this NFL crap about safety, yeah right, safety for the other team the Ravens are playing maybe

If it had been Flacco kicking McCourty, he would have been flagged. That's just life. And it made beating them all the sweeter.

Not like Ed to say something about another player so I'm not surprised. But I didn't like that play, then Simms explaining Brady was "protecting himself" pissed me of even more. QBs are basically a no fly zone nowadays, they literally don't need to protect themselves at all, on top of that Brady knows as well as anyone else once he started his slide feet first the play was immediately dead and he wasn't going to be touched. Especially not by Ed. His leg came up way to high for that to be a natural motion, you have to consciously bring your leg that high to do that. That's coming from a ball player who's done his fair share of spiking, you have to try to bring your leg that high.

2. Hit on fair catch - Reed called it merely 'incidental' contact. Didn't seem upset about it. Said he felt his groin injury and stayed down a bit longer because of it. He figured he had a tv timeout.
This was definitely incidental contact, it was their LS if I recall correctly and he just like stumbled and tripped himself and rolled into Ed.

UGGs spokesman is their darling. They made rules JUST for him (the tuck rule, the brady skirt rule)

But let's wait and see this week whether NFL has the balls to do what is right.

Could you paraphrase the interview please? I can't find it on the fans website.

It was intentional. Watching the replay it's obvious. Brady of course is gonna get a pass by the NFL and every media member. But that is a dangerous move. Imagine if Ed's foot was planted in the turf and hit Brady's cleat square. Then it's possibly career ending.

This was just Brady being Brady.

Remember when Suggs was pushed and hardly grazed Tom's thigh. Tom turns around to the ref while pouting and just pointed for a flag and the ref threw it.

Man. It was a long interview with a lot of topics. I started running outside when it started and it was still going 30 minutes later. Let's see what I can remember.

Funny part. Right after he called in, he had to ask Glenn to be put on hold because his mom was calling.

Talked about going home to New Orleans. How many ties he has down there. How sweet it is.

McKinnie. Called him 'The Great Wall of China'. Talked about how he played two years with him at Miami and how he helped win them a championship. Praised all of the Offensive line guys. Even the guys on the scout teams which gave them different things to work on.

Ray Lewis - the usual. Inspirational. Getting the players to play at a high level. Oh yea he compared Lewis to "Thomas the Train." Said his son plays with Thomas the train and he compared Lewis to the caboose of the train. The engine that moves the whole thing.

Gave a lot of respect to Tom Brady. He dismissed the kick on the slide. Then Reed kind of talked about how he doesn't want to be viewed as a dirty player. That his career will speak for itself.

Talked about the hit on special teams. He said his groin injury gave him a scare. He had to have it checked it out after the play.

His leg is hurting him a bit. But he said all the players were in the weight room today. Great moods, getting ice baths, getting healthier.

Pollard - Talked about how the secondary wanted to go downhill on the ball on Sunday. How great Pollard has been for the team. Joked about how Pollard doesn't get any additional respect for being the team's player rep.

Talked about the defensive adjustment against the Pats. With putting more responsibilities and snaps on McPhee, Jones and Kruger.

Boldin - How clutch and strong he is. Tough to bring down. Talked about how great of a player and man he is. Great for the fans, is a great family man, great for the community. He's a special guy..

Pitta - Pitta gives 100% all the time. Has some of the best hands. The level of play you see from Pitta on the field is the same level you'll see in practice. Always diving for catches. He also said that PItta was a soft spoken man.

Thank alot! Seeing Eds smile in the lockeroom after the game was amazing. Don't know if you saw it or not, it's on the sites video page. When they were interviewing Biscotti, Harbaugh and Ray for the the AFC trophy presentation, at one point when Harbs stopped talking and they were starting to talk to Q, the camera turnt to Ed saying "We going to the ship boys, we going to the ship, yeah......yeahhh!" ...I was so happy for him.

Here's the link incase anyone missed it. I forgot I had it saved...

Pollard has a right to complain. You slide to protect yourself. Brady sticking his leg up at Reed doesn't protect him at all. And if you watch the slide carefully, you see him actually kick out as Reed passes by. Watch it again. As Reed jumps over him, he re-adjusts his leg and kicks at a high angle.

Yea. In the interview he just seemed so relaxed and at ease. Happy and mellow. Excited about going to New Orleans. He's always been my favorite Raven all-time.

Reason I made this topic was, I'm so sick of the refs and analysts making excuses for Brady and co. I can't stand it anymore.

That attempted knee shot by Brady really made me mad. Along with the fair catch hit ( I don't care if its incidental ) we got 3 r 4 PFs

Didn't get a helmet call for hit on Boldin in middle , then hit on Pitta a few plays later.

I mean personally I don't think those hits deserve penalties but if the hits by pollard and Lewis were called then these hits should be called as well.

Just inconsistent!
