I would do backflips if this was the first three rounds of our draft. I love Minter. I think he has elite instincts and is very good in coverage and against the run. Love it.

I couldn't decide between Rambo and Robert Lester but I think he'll be the better player in the NFL as well. I figured in two things for these picks, Ray's retirement and the impending retirement of Ed Reed after we win it all and he'll join Ray in retirement. McKinnie I can see staying on for another year at LT but we draft Oday as competition to see if that motivates him to stay in shape during the off-season and see if he is able to hold off the rookie for the Left Tackle job.

Also for the Seahawks pick, I just looked at mock drafts and picked a guy who was rated a second and third rounder and slotted him in the first to Seattle since Petey likes to over reach for players in the first round.(James Carpenter and Bruce Irvin)

  • Kansas City Chiefs- Luke Joeckel OT Texas A & M
  • Jacksonville Jaguars- Jarvis Jones DE, Georgia He could go this high, but I think Jax would take a true 4-3 DE like Moore or Werner ahead of a LB that has health risks.
  • Oakland Raiders- Star Lotulelei NT Utah
  • Philadelphia Eagles- Geno Smith QB West Virginia Smith is not really a fit for Chip Kelly's offense.
  • Detroit Lions- Damontre Moore DE Texas A & M
  • Cleveland Browns- Bjoern Werner DE Florida State
  • Arizona Cardinals- Barkevious Mingo OLB LSU I cant imagine they would pass on Fisher considering their need at OT.
  • Buffalo Bills- Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan Bills dont need an OT, they need a QB/WR/MLB.
  • New York Jets- DeMarcus Milliner CB Alabama Jets have two stud CBs, why take another?
  • Tennessee Titans- Chance Warmack G Alabama
  • San Diego Chargers- Johnathon Hankins NT Ohio State SD needs help on OL much more than DL.
  • Miami Dolphins- Johnathon Banks CB Miss. State
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri
  • Carolina Panthers- Dion Jordan DE Oregon Carolina had one of the best pass-rush tandems in the league with Johnson and Hardy.
  • New Orleans Saints- Sam Montgomery DE LSU
  • St. Louis Rams- Kenny Vaccaro S Texas
  • Pittsburgh Steelers- John Jenkins NT Georgia
  • Dallas Cowboys- Barrett Jones C Alabama
  • New York Giants- Jonathon Cooper G North Carolina
  • Chicago Bears- Alec Ogletree ILB Georgia
  • Cincinnati Bengals- Matt Elam S Florida
  • St. Louis Rams(via WAS)- Cordarrelle Patterson WR Tennessee
  • Minnesota Vikings- Keenan Allen WR California
  • Indianapolis Colts- Ezekiel Ansah OLB BYU
  • Seattle Seahawks- Sharrif Floyd DT Florida
  • Green Bay Packers- Justin Hunter WR Tennessee GB is stacked at WR?
  • Houston Texans- Jesse Williams NT Alabama
  • Denver Broncos- Kawann Short DT Purdue
  • New England Patriots- Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State
  • Atlanta Falcons- Tyler Eifert TE Notre Dame
  • Baltimore Ravens- Kevin Minter ILB LSU
  • San Francisco 49ers- Tony Jefferson S Oklahoma Not a first rounder IMO
Ravens 2nd - 3rd Rounds:

2nd Round: Oday Aboushi OT Virginia

3rd Round: Bacarri Rambo S Georgia:

I can't really be too critical of a mock draft because I know how hard it is, but I put my thoughts next to some of your choices that struck me as odd.

I like the Minter pick a lot. Aboushi in the second seems like a solid choice although I am not sold on him. Rambo is another solid value in the third.

On Jarvis Jones, that is true but remember the Broncos took Von Miller, a player that everyone said would only work out as a 3-4 OLB at the # 2 spot and Jarvis reminds me of Miller in many ways. Smith at 4 was just BPA for me so I slotted him to the Eagles based on the fact they would take him at 4 as BPA.I could have sworn Revis was a Free Agent which was why I slotted Milliner to the Jets.

That's true about the Panthers but the Giants also already had a great pass rush but that didn't stop them from taking JPP. Greg Jennings is a Free Agent and I don't see Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randal Cobb as number one guys so the Packers go out and get another receiver who I feel is a number one receiver for Rodgers. Jefferson I think could work his way into the first after the combine and the pro days which is why I slotted him at the very end of the first round.

Not sure I agree with this. The Packers are VERY high on Cobb.

I dont think Jones is anywhere close to the player Miller is or was coming out. Smith I wouldnt have rated quite that high, but it makes some sense considering they have a hole at that position. Revis isnt a Free Agent until 2017 I think.

As for the Packers they seemed to do just fine this year without Jennings. Cobb is a stud IMO, and Nelson is a great WR when healthy as well.

Good mock.. I agree with dizzle though, I think this is a really strong draft class.

Theres a few picks I don't agree with like, Eagles,Rams drafting WR in first, 49ers (ESPECIALLY THEIR SPOT),Broncos drafting DT again, and Chargers not drafting OL.

I can see the Jets drafting Milliner though, I think it makes sense too. Cro is overrated imo, and you can't have enough CBs.

It would kill me to see THE Texans draft Williams. I can see it happening though, either them or Steelers. :(

I like our picks though. Osemele & Abushi will be the future 2nd round stars on our oline! There names just belong near each other.

Also, the Packers will NOT draft a WR in the first round. That I'm positive of. Cobb,Jones,Nelson are the best 3 combo in the league imo. They NEED help on defense and especially the oline.

I worked hard on this mock for a while, this draft class to me is so weak that it was so hard to slot the players in the first round. So this is my first round mock with a Ravens Mock in the second through third rounds.

  • Kansas City Chiefs- Luke Joeckel OT Texas A & M - Fine he is the best talent on the board, but I have argued with Gabe about why I dont like him going here and Andy Reid's new regime really makes me think it will be Geno going first overall.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars- Jarvis Jones DE/LB Georgia - Wouldnt surprise me if Star went here but I think this is the better choice.
  • Oakland Raiders- Star Lotulelei NT Utah - good fit
  • Philadelphia Eagles- Geno Smith QB West Virginia - Think they are gonna role with foles and build around him until a better QB class comes along.
  • Detroit Lions- Damontre Moore DE Texas A & M - I think Dee Millner goes here. As many needs as the lions have, they have to be able to win shootouts and to do that, they need a secondary that can stop the opposing aerial attacks of GB and Chi
  • Cleveland Browns- Bjoern Werner DE Florida State- Good pick, I love the German one.
  • Arizona Cardinals- Barkevious Mingo OLB LSU - No way this happens. Mingo's array of moves has some questions to begin with and the cardinals desperately need o-line help. Honestly, I could see Fischer or Warmack going here. They arent sexy picks, but that o-line needs desperate help.
  • Buffalo Bills- Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan - I think the Bills go linebacker here. Wouldnt be surprised if this is where Manti went despite everything. I could also see WR but given the depth, they could get one in the second round with their pick. I think the Bills are all but assured a qb in the first two rounds tho given what Nix said.
  • New York Jets- DeMarcus Milliner CB Alabama - Jets have too many holes to take a CB here
  • Tennessee Titans- Chance Warmack G Alabama - Good selection here as Steve Hutchinson clearly didnt work out, but the Titans are going to go defense and hope that the o-line will stay healthy and get it together this year.
  • San Diego Chargers- Johnathon Hankins NT Ohio State - Not a bad choice, but they also need o line help. Their D is actually surprisingly effective.
  • Miami Dolphins- Johnathon Banks CB Miss. State - After trading away, Vontae Davis, I can't see Miami taking a corner here. They clearly liked the guys they had imho. They need too much help offensively given they have to replace a LT and find WR help the developed breasts of Ryan Tannehill's wife....I mean Tannehill
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri - Tampa hitting the secondary is like Darnell Dockett after seeing Miss Alabama. They gonna hit that.
  • Carolina Panthers- Dion Jordan DE Oregon - A decent pick, but again WR, and DT would probably be better slotted here.
  • New Orleans Saints- Sam Montgomery DE LSU - No problems with this one
  • St. Louis Rams- Kenny Vaccaro S Texas - No problem with this one
  • Pittsburgh Steelers- John Jenkins NT Georgia - good selection given their interest in Dontari Poe last year
  • Dallas Cowboys- Barrett Jones C Alabama - Doubtful given how Jerry Jones is,
  • New York Giants- Jonathon Cooper G North Carolina - I don't think so. At this point I think they take Teo (if he's still there) or more likely Ziggy Ansah. They developed JPP and they need a replacement for Osi. While I thought about Minter or Ogletree here, I feel that neither one is what they look for in a nfl ready prospect. They would take Ogletree though given their penchant for developing players.
  • Chicago Bears- Alec Ogletree ILB Georgia - Urlacher replacement? Trestman said that he was gonna get Cutler help on the o-line so thats where I think they go here.
  • Cincinnati Bengals- Matt Elam S Florida - No problems with this pick other than maybe the Bengals go wide receiver to find a guy to compliment AJ Green but given they have some young guys to develop this is probably their best option. Depends on how much they trust their O vs how much they trust their D.
  • St. Louis Rams(via WAS)- Cordarrelle Patterson WR Tennessee - Nope. This would be giving up on Brian Qucik way to quickly (pun). They will likely retain Amendola given cap conditions established by the CBA.
  • Minnesota Vikings- Keenan Allen WR California - quality pick, but I wonder if they wont continue to hit their D. FWIW I think that passing game gets much better with the return of Harvin. They do need to find a guy opposite him tho.
  • Indianapolis Colts- Ezekiel Ansah OLB BYU - I dont like the colts taking such a raw player. They arent exactly known for developing raw talent on defense. I think they go o-line personally. Andrew Luck will be a short investment if he continues getting hit like he is.
  • Seattle Seahawks- Sharrif Floyd DT Florida - Not a bad choice here, but I'm waiting to here on Clemons before anything.
  • Green Bay Packers- Justin Hunter WR Tennessee - O-line or defense here. Rodgers doesn't need more weapons, he needs a running game and protection
  • Houston Texans- Jesse Williams NT Alabama - I think a safety is a strong possibility here. I also would like to see another corner that isn't the liability Kareem Jackson is opposite JJ . Linebacker and D-line is alright imo. They could also go WR here as they are desperate for a guy to take pressure off of the aging AJ.
  • Denver Broncos- Kawann Short DT Purdue - Good pick, but again secondary could use some help. Champ Bailey is aging and Porter isn't exactly a shutdown corner. Their pass rush really covers up a lot of coverage weaknesses.
  • New England Patriots- Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State - I want to agree with this, but the combo of Talib and Dennard was actually pretty potent. Maybe a safety here instead? The only other thing I can think about with this pats D is hitting the d line again but with Wilfork and Chandler Jones you should be good there.
  • Atlanta Falcons- Tyler Eifert TE Notre Dame - Not exactly a replacement for Gonzales but a good pick.
  • Baltimore Ravens- Kevin Minter ILB LSU - wrong selection. WRONG WRONG WRONG. On a serious note, I dont like the pick. Minter is a good player and one we could take at 32, but like I said I dont like using our most important pick on a position that has relatively low impact and production that can be found in much later rounds.
  • San Francisco 49ers- Tony Jefferson S Oklahoma - Wrong pick, but Im seeing D-line here, to give Justin Smith even more help. Offensively they are set everywhere except WR2, but they took a receiver last year in the first they cant give up on just yet.
Ravens 2nd - 3rd Rounds:

2nd Round: Oday Aboushi OT Virginia - fine, but im not sure of his ability to be a LT in the nfl. Up in the air at this point.

3rd Round: Bacarri Rambo S Georgia - You just wanted a guy named Rambo on the team didn't you JO?
