Now that I think we have a pretty great buildng Offensive line, what do you think needs to be done to the Defense in the off season? We really need to step up our pass rush. We had so many missed tackles yesterday it was ridiculous.

Cut the fat. Eliminate older players who are demanding huge dollars and bring in guys who are a bit younger and not stuck in there old ways. CMAC comes to mind.

I don't think we should let go of CMAC, I'm still a big fan of his and I believe in him. But in all hoensty he needs to step it up.
if we keep playing like that were just going to keep falling further
At the same time, we can't forget that we were playing the number 1 team in the league.I agree with what ray lewis says.. A champion doesn't stop playing after a bad drive.. or even when entire quarters go wrong.. after Jacob's first 52 yd run it just seemed like we stopped trying.. and thats not acceptable. We do need to eliminante "big money" players.. obviously keep ray he's the heart of the team.. as much as I love bart scott.. he hasen't really stepped up this year like I thought he would.. Keep Suggs,he's showed improvment and will only get better.

I'm a huge CMAC fan too, I still think that for a few years he was the best CB in the game. But he's become part of the problem now, by not being dependable, and those millions that we pay him every year to be on the IR could be put to better use. I love me some CMAC, but time to cut our losses, because this team we have is just a player or two away from being an elite team.

I know!, How many times did we get called off sides in the Giants game? I recall at least 4 in my head. Which is just plain stupid and ridiculous. The thing that REALLY makes me mad YET again in this game is ALL the holding that went on.. AND NO CALL. Then the ref's decision to call off-sides from the other side of the feild, Anotheer pentalty that got called twice that I didnt even know exsisted was the "tripping" pentatly. Harbs really needs to come down on these guys about this stuff, Bart scott is a vetern. He SHOULD NOT be getting petty pentatlys.

We had a bad game against a good team (just like we did in Indy), so I take this with a grain of salt. I think that our personell makes us the best defense in the league, we have probably the best LB core in the NFL, the best safety in the NFL, and one of the better, if not the best, traditional, "smash-mouth" D-Lines. We've been plauged by injuries in our secondary for the second year in the row, but we have thrived this year dispite this. Yeah, it's nice to be able to say that our defense is ranked #1, but numbers don't mean actions.

Well, Rolle stopped that last TD which helped us from getting totally blown out. Cmac will be heathly next year. I like him. I think we should spend our money more on a WR.

Hmm....Ed Reed was the best Safety in the league. If we look at current play Troy Polamalu is most definitely the best safety in the league this season outplaying both Reed and Sanders. Will Ed Reed recover from his injury and get back on top? Will Polamalu stay healthy and continue his outstanding play? Who knows, no one can tell the future. No disrespect intended

I agree with all your comments with the exception of Reed being the Best safety. Probably one of the top three.

I would agree with you right now. But if Ed Reed was nursing so many injuries. He'd be right up there now.

I'm not sure if you guys are missing all the problems with CMAC, to be honest him and Harbs don't see Eye to Eye, Cmacs EGO is larger then his production. He is not Harbs type of player, and he will be dealt with unless he has some divine intervention, his attitude has landed him off the Roster.

I still say keep CMac, he's still one of the best - there are much, much worse. I also disagree that him and Harbaugh were not on the same page. My hunch before was that Harbaugh was hiding his knee (so people didn't throw on him, until the Colts game that is), and that's why he was out. Looking at what happened now with IR and the knee operation, I think I was spot on with that. I don't think there was any benching for any wearing of shorts or anything by CMac. Hiding injuries is a game, and Harbaugh is playing it like the Patriots do. Again, IMO.

I believe CMac will bounce back. Rolle is older, and due to being a smaller frame, gets injuried. Can we keep him? Possibly, depending on the pricetag. I still think he is better than most think, and IMO was fine on Sunday.

All of our CBs (except CMac) are small frames and think guys, generally. Corey Ivy is bigger frame, but IMO a Nickel Back.

I think we need a WR in the draft and another CB. That said, we have WRs now from this year's draft, but they haven't really hit the field yet due to various reasons (one being injured), and Williams will be back for next year as well.

In the end, health is the key. We have the most IRs of any team at the moment. I can attribute that to "playing hard...like a Raven". :)

I really think they will keep Ray Lewis in 2009, franchise tag Suggs again (maybe) and let Bart Scott go. IMO Bart is the lesser of the DBs looking for the contract. Is he a solid player, sure, but I don't think you can rate him above Suggs or Lewis. That said, remember that all of these guys want that big payday next year, and are giving that extra bit to get the team to say "yeah, we gotta keep him..."

Either way, the future looks bright for the Ravens. I really think the AFC North teams are looking at what we have in Flacco, the O-line youth coming on, and Cam at Offensive Coordinator, and are more than worried a bit. For years the division usually always goes through Pittsburgh. I really think that will be changing to B'more real soon, for the aforementioned reasons. And that, will be swe-et! :)

it is just a stat no need to be worried. Plus EVERYONE knows the Ravens are NOT going to win the Super Bowl. We are in a rebuilding stage and fans need to start realizing that and they need to stop worrying

about what others say about us. I was just as pissed off about the media but I now dont listen to what they have to say.

Honestly, I think we need work on our secondary and our defensive line. I completly respect CMAC and Rolle, but they're both getting up there in age. Obviously we're beat up in the secondary right now, but even as a healthy one, we still always gave up alot of passing yards. And our defensive line, is good, but not great. We don't get in to the QB as fast as we should be. There are so many time that I'm seeing the opposing QB sit back and stand there until a receiver gets open. I think Ngata is really the only pro bowl caliber player on our line.

I think what your boys really need to do is flick that chip off their shoulder and just play football. I've heard more junk that last few weeks about how they're not getting the respect they should be getting, no one considers them as elite, blah, blah, blah. So what! Stop talking and just play football; it's a wasted emotion to worry about what everyone else is saying (or not saying). The result: they got their butts whooped.

Hmm... Sounds like similar to how Rothlisburger was saying that same thing about the Steelers before the Skinz/Steelers game ... But that's cool right? ;)

I wanted to go get a CB last year, what else would we even be thinking about this year. Don't need another DT or DE, still solid LB's, and Dawan/Reed are both great. Corner is the only thing we need. Rolle blows coverage so much it makes me and my friend laugh hysterically, and cmac is no longer lockdown. I'd want to get that Jenkins kid from Ohio, kid is ridiculous.

I think we need to give the guys a little credit. We lost our starting corners for various reasons for varying amounts of time. We lost our Strong safety for the year. We lost our NT who most of us would consider pro bowl quality for the year. We've had NO bye week. We just got gashed by the top running offense in the league. And we're still in the top 5 in run defenses in the league. We shouldn't be berating the guys for one bad game, under all of those circumstances. Let's be fair.

He was saying that while it is nice to have all the accolades of having the NUMBER 1 defense, in the real scheme of things it doesn't mean jack ****
