So, last year, it was Gisele. Now, it's Wes Welker's wife. What is with the New England Patriots and their players' wives ranting for no good reason, whatsoever?

I just hope the Pats continue this yearly tradition for the foreseeable future. Maybe New England will draft Manti Te'o this April; that way, when they lose in next season's playoffs, his girlfriend can... oh, wait! Too soon?
It is too soon if we draft him, which is still possible.

Perhaps the Patriots' wives feel the need to stick up for their weak men.

I'm curious what Gisele has to say this time. Maybe "My husband can't throw"

Fixed.

I don't care what a hooters girl says about Ray, she's got her orange shorts on too tight. And yes, she was a hooters model... Talking about criteria for a role model... What a bimbo

Forgive me if this has already been said, I haven't gone over all three pages already, but...

What IS WITH these Patriots wives complaining after a loss and being bitter? First it was Gisele, now it's this chick? Is being married to the biggest whiners in the league contagious or something upon getting a big fat ring?

Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post must not be a happy camper today either.

What annoys me about people who attack Lewis' past, is they don't have their facts right, or they ignore known facts. Lewis didn't murder anyone; he only withheld evidence to protect two of his friends responsible for murdering criminals who attacked them with a champagne bottle and shot at Lewis' limo as they were leaving the club.

These fools act like they wouldn't do the the same in Lewis' position.

Whoever edited Wes Welker's Wikipedia page to say this deserves a cookie. Before it gets edited back, here you guys go...

Looks like Anna's comments have come back to bite her. Not only has she now taken down her face book low blow attack on Ray, she has now has come out and issued an "apology accordnig to TMZ"

Anna Burn Welker ""12:00 PM PT -- Anna just posted an apology ... "I apologize to Ray Lewis and his family for my comments. In no way did I mean for them to be mean or hurtful. I'm embarrassed for being a sore loser. I wish Ray and the Ravens good luck. Lesson learned!"

http://www.tmz.com/2.../#ixzz2IeE6x2kY

Celebs rarely appologize for making stupid coments unless the public reaction is fierce against them. I bet her facebook page was overrun with attacks on her. I don't knw whehter it was the Patriots managment or Wes Welker himself, but I know full well that she didn't apologize on her own free will. She knew she meant to be hurtful. She dredged up on purpose something against Ray which had nothing to do with football for the express purpose of attacking him and his character.
EXACTLY. Once she moves through the media digestive process I hope to never hear/see her again

Also, I don't think she would've said that normally. Welker was probably talking crap with her leading up to the game. She probably thought it would be alright and not a big deal to say something like that. Also, first thing that pops into your mind to say after your mans team just got embarressed? It's like she was ready to say that. She did it too feel better about the loss, or just for personal publicity. Either way it's pathetic.

He was proven wrong on every account and still thinks he is right.

Most of his tweets are still Raven related too.

I can only imagine how she conveyed her message in private behind closed doors if that is what she put out to the public.

i use to be upset over everyone (the Ravens and Lewis haters) constantly bringing up Ray's 2000 (12 yrs old) incident now that he is retiring. but you know what? i've come to realize...that this same thing happened to him when he first won the Superbowl and now...it's happening all over again due to the fact that the Ravens are playing in this years Superbowl. soooo, since history seems to be repeating itself....the Ravens need to WIN the Superbowl to make it complete!

I just dont understand why she had to go there . Seriously? Those were unnecessary comments to bring up which she has aboslutely no affiliation with. I'm sick of people bringing up something that occured like 12 or 13 years ago and making comments as if they know exactly what happened, like they have some sort of evidence that proves something. Its just annoying and rude.

Back to Anna's comments. When you hear things that occur around NE's inner circle such as Gisele's comments last year, Billichick not talking to CBS, or when he does interviews he doesn't say much, and now these comments by Welkers Wife, there really is no surprise that A LOT of people dont like NE and say things like they cheat for their wins. Those actions by those individuals reflect on the team as a whole. As far as I know, other teams dont act that way after a loss. sheesh

Simple. Self-defense mechanism. Find the faults in others to make you feel better about yourself. That's a poor character flaw in the first place, but then to go to the bottom of the well and make it public (even worse since she's Welker's wife) is just poor taste.

I really hope her well quite honestly.

I wonder how the victims families feel? Just because it was 12 years ago doesn;t mean aqll should be forgiven or forgotten. He never told the truth about what happened that night, he never even said what happened to that white suit.
The only thing Welker's wife was arong about was talking about the wives and that is only because Ray Lewis never married any of the multiple that women he got pregnant.
His act is tired.

This is just history repeating itself. People are going to bad mouth Ray Lewis because there team isn't in the SB. Pure jealousy.

The only difference is that that Internet has advanced since 2000.

If this weren't a PG-rated forum, there are sooooo many jokes about her and Welker, but... sighhhh...

Sorry Anna, do you expect anyone to take you seriously?

Don't let this classless shrew speak for all of New England fans. Pity Wes: he has to share a bed with her. In any event, the Pats phoned in their performance for the second half and the Ravens were hungry. Bill and Brady came out of the locker room asking to be p0wned and Ray Lewis and company were all too happy to oblige. The right team is in the big game and I hope Ray gets to close out his epic career with a ring.
