I say Heck yes!!!

Aside from the awesome performances from Joe and the offense, this 2012 Super D shut out Brady in the second half- at home, and held NE to their lowest points scored all year. Well done!

San Francisco also is there, and their D is just stacked.

I'd say Defense wins championships, and while SF's is better, we are the more balanced team, and Joe could have a field day vs their secondary. I think many will pick them to win it, but our team overall is >>>>> better than their's is. Kapernick is going to have one of the worst SBs a QB has ever played ever.

Defenses still win championships, and San Fran is proving that a run game can still win championships too. May not be as easy, but it is possible.

Yes is definitely correct. The Patriots can not play a great game against an opposing team that has a strong defense. We are the only team that plays the Patriots tough. When Brady was asked about the Pats facing the Ravens last week, you could see the worry in his body languaage and his voice. Last year the Pats lost to the Defense of the Giants, Now two defensive teams are in the superbowl.

You guys have Mike Nolan though. You'll find a ton of admiration for him on here. I thought he did a great job with your defense this year.

What are you talking about - in the regular season the Falcon's D gave up fewer PPG than the Ravens - you were 5th in the league at 19.5 PPG, we were 12th at 21.5 PPG. And last week against Peyton Manning this defense gave up 35 points and we had to go 2 OTs to win it, or did you just decide not to count that effort? Our defense might have held the Patriots in check last night, but we are where we are because since we fired Cam Cameron we've only scored fewer than 20 points once.

There are a lot of good QBs out there, and a team that can play great situational D will always prevail. The poster you quoted said that Kap will have a bad SB so you saying the "kid is good" is irrelevant and pointless to the discussion. Understand?
