It's not a terrible idea to get a wideout. I mean, if we for some reason traded/released Boldin we may need a #2 or #1 WR. We have a lot of talent, true. Streeter is unproven. Thompson is very limited. Williams & Doss have shown some promise but are big question marks. Jacoby Jones has done well as a #3 but with the Texans as a #2 he didn't get it done. Why are yall so wanting us to draft a wide out we know ozzie dosent draft wide outs unless its late excption torry all the other 1st &2nd recivers where are they, now ???? Patterson is projected as a first round pick by pretty much everyone and I agree.

FWIW I think Patterson is a mid second round talent (due to his rough technique) but he will be the first wide out off the board since he has the basics down alongside his insane talent. The reason I knock him down to mid second round is because he isnt going to be able to get away with body catches, poor body control (which is weird given his extraordinary vision) etc... on a nfl level as a receiver.

2nd: Arthur Brown, ILB, Kansas State
People on this board are calling this guy the next Ray Lewis. I won't go nearly that far, but the kid has a tremendous work ethic and is apparently studying film nonstop. He is a little undersized to be a 3-4 ILB, but lately undersized players like Daryl Washington, Lawrence Timmons, and Navarro Bowman have given their defenses a dynamic presence in the middle. With a great blitzing backer like Ellerbe next to him, Brown can do what he does best: diagnose plays and drop back into coverage. He could put on a little weight to stop the run, but his technique is impeccable and I see him being a successful starter from day one and for quite some time after.
3rd (comp): Bacarri Rambo, FS, Georgia
Character concerns and a strong overall class at his position will cause Rambo to fall. This guy is a playmaker and always around the ball. He can be a little aggressive at times but hopefully we can coach him to make calculated risks. I hope we can bring Ed Reed back next year but I think that is a 50/50 chance at this point. Whether #20 is back or not, a long term replacement is desperately needed and we have almost no depth behind him. It would be great to see Rambo mentored by the best of all time, but if Reed hangs them up I can see Rambo being a solid player, who despite some growing pains, will contribute right away.
