We Could've Won This Game

30 posts in this topic

we came back from down 20-0 to make it 20-10 and then we were driving again and flacco's perfect pass bounces of mase's helmet and into the hands of the defender who took it 50 yards for a td. i believe if that didnt happen we wouldve continued to drive and woulve cut it to 3 points. and from there we would have all the momentum and probably would've came out on top. what do u all think?

The Giants could've put us away had Eli not thrown an interception and Jacobs hadn't gone out. They beat us easily at our own game, get over it.

I wouldn't say that pass from Flacco to Mason was perfect..

It was a little behind him. It was both of there faults.

And if Stover made the field goal, then we would have been tied. Or if the Giants didn't throw a INT to Ray Lewis in the Redzone. There are too many ifs in football, you just have to leave the game results as is. These are all part of the game.

yeah seriously, I hate it when people have their little pessemistic attitudes. the piont is we made a lot of mistakes and this was the wrong team to do it agianst. Thke had two big runs, but other thatn that we weren't that bad. Also if you take away the block and the mason drop this game is a lot closer. Like I said it just little mistakes, from kicking the ball too low, to dropping a pass when it its you in the face.........

If Derrick doesn't miss that ball that turned into the Pick-6, then we win this game.... after that, I knew it was over.

There's a lot of coulda's, woulda's, and shoulda's after every loss. But at the end of the day, a loss is a loss, no matter how you cut it.

I know everyone wants to find something positive about the game, but bottom line is, there's still another game to be played this coming Sunday, and it doesn't get any easier from here on out.

The game may have ended only a few hours ago, but I think we need to move on just as the players and coaches will, since there's nothing to gain from looking back.

Does it hurt? Yes. Always. But why try to patch up a wound that will heal on its own with time? Just let the bad feelings subside, and get hyped again for the next game; that's what we've always done every week, regardless of the outcome, and that's what we must continue to do.

To talk about the "if's" of the game is to make excuses that don't need to be made; what happened, happened, and nothing will change the fresh checkmark in the L-column. Could the team have played better? Yes, of course. But they didn't. And they have to deal with it even after this week, not us.

Best thing to do is pick up the pieces and move on.

How about giving Fabian some props for showing off his 4.2 speed running down Bradshaw, saving us 4 points! Great hustle! :D

Franchise, you have a serious problem; no one is going to read your post as it's over five words, grammatically correct and logically sound.

I know...I need to work on that, my latent alcoholism, and my wandering eye, all at the same time.

It's a problem.

I'd give you a hug, but I'd worry about feeling the effects of your impending hangover all over my lap.

And I don't mean that in an inappropriate way, neither. ;)

As for an update, I'll post one in the DT soon...

I'm sorry, but since you're in peewee football you know if a ball goes through your hands and bounces off your face, it's pretty much on you.

But at some point, who cares - Derrick deserves all the room for error there is. He earned it by working with Flacco and supporting him - getting him up to speed. He earned it by playing injured. He earned by being the 3rd leading receiver in the entire league over the past however many years...

The three straight TD's on the first three Giants drives had a whole heckuva' lot more to do with the outcome than that one play.

No way...the ball went through Mason's hands AND bounced off his helmet. That's two reason's why Mason is to blame. The unspoken rule is if you get both your hands on the ball, it's on you to bring it in.

The turning point of the whole game was def that blocked FG. Boy did Matt kick that sucker low. It gave the giants great field position and all of the momentum. Granted the ravens did cut the deficit in half, but, you guys know what happened next.

I think it was that 50 yard run by Jacobs.

I disagree I think that Joe's throw was too high, which I think he does under pressure, no diss on Joe, he is a rookie.
