Apparently David Reed wore a Lee Evans jersey to practice today. I don't know why, but thought I'd bring it up because I can.

I believe Boldin wore a Cundiff jersey a few times during the season

I never hated Evans. I was surprised to hear he still lives in the area. It sucked that he couldn't keep ahold of the ball. As for cundiff, meh he should have made that field goal.

Something like that. Although either Ray, Sizzle, or Ed have worn Koch's uni before. I remember seeing one of them in it.

I will admit, I was violently angry at him at first, but he's a really nice guy. At the end of the day there were a lot of plays that could've been made. Coulda woulda shoulda. We'll make up for it on Sunday.

I was hoping for the Ravens to resign Evans. The fact of the matter is that he caught the ball, but it was stripped out of his hands in the endzone. It was Billy Cundiff alone who cost us that game, point blank. I hope Lee is able to play again soon.

I think the jist of the article really is that Lee Evans has moved on and you should too. I really like how his heart was in the right place then and now, and I wish no ill will towards him.

Lee was a dud for us from Day 1 until the drop. I don't dislike him, but am glad he's no longer on the Team.

And sorry, point blank, the drop cost us the game not Billy's miss. If the catch was made, we're in the lead with little time for NE to score. Game over onto the SB. Cundiff makes the kick, we go to OT and who know's what would have happened.

And why the heck are we talking about this now anyway! Lol!

I don't think any die hard Ravens fan will ever forget The Drop. I for one never felt any sort of dislike or disdain for Lee Evans the man, I actually felt bad for him. But I have to say that I never wanted to see him in a Ravens uniform again. That's just the way it is/was for me.

Not gonna lie, i hated them both for a good month after the game. That feeling was one of the worst ever. But then i realized that life is bigger than football for these guys. Yes, both plays still make me cringe, but i don't hate them. I make Cundiff jokes on twitter and all, but its all in good fun. haha

Although Evans should have caught the ball, you can give him a pass for having a good defensive play made.

Cundiff will never be forgiven. Cundiff is a bum.

ESPN posted an article following up with Lee Evans and Billy Cundiff in the time that's passed since their AFC Championship gaffes.

After reading of Evans' humility and his accountability for the dropped TD, I can't harbor any more resentment towards him. The play still makes me cringe, but I don't think the sight of him would make me boil.

Kudos to Lee Evans for embracing his lowest career moment and aiming to teach his son the hard lesson he's learned.

The Lee Evans incident was a bang-bang play where an opposing player contributed to him dropping the ball.

That is the weirdest and dumbest things I've heard. Sure hope its false.
The fact that David Reed was wearing it is dumb. Honestly though, I wouldn't mind Jacoby wearing it. You need to embrace your mistakes and learn from them. You can't just hide and be afraid of it forever. Wearing his Jersey shows we have moved on. Shouldn't fear things like curses.

I can't remember who it was. Whoever it was, said that Bernard Pollard was playing with a boomerang and a couple of other guys were doing unusual things. But he said David Reed wearing an Evans jersey was the most bizarre thing about practice.
Boomerang to maybe help catch? those things are weird as hell, if you can throw it and catch that, then you can catch a ball just fine, haha I'd like to think! .... maybe.. right?

And Sterling Moore followed the Evans play up with this beauty of defensive technique. We forget about it because it was bookmarked by two of the most heart wrenching plays in our franchise's history but it happened nonetheless.

That play right there made me even madder than the lee Evans play because I'm screaming for a flag. I didn't care if it was illegal touching or pass interference either way first and goal with a TO.

With the initial post I've never disliked Lee Evans just disappointed because still to me it's more of Evans relaxing too much in a near ready to celebrate moment than the Moore making " a great play". I also felt like perhaps the feet were down before the ball came out. It was debated a lot. Also hearing Chris carter talk about how Evans should have just fell to the ground and made the catch similar to S.Holmes Superbowl catch to prevent the defender being able to make contact.

Besides that article shouldn't have made anyone feel differently. If anything the recordings after the game of Evans apologizing to Ray Lewis for letting him down etc and Ray speaking about it being a team game should have been all it took forgive and forget somewhat.

The stripped dropped pass by Evan was only one of many opportunities the offense had to score throughout the game but didn't. Cundiff's botched kick is what spent us home instead of into overtime tied, point blank. We have no idea what would have happened in OT, It's easy to put the lion share of blame on Lee because his play was right before Cundiff's miss but it's not fair to do.

You can rationalize it any way you like, but we were positioned to win the game and Lee's failure to secure the ball blew it.

I like the rationalize, because there is no substitute for logic. Our season needed not at the hands of Evans but at the feet of Cundiff. I'm not debating that if Evan was able to hang on to the catch a few seconds longer before it was stripped, this would be a mute point. Evans catch could have WON us the game, no doubt. However, it was Cundiff' wide right kick which LOSS us the same.

Ditto. Although two Super Bowls in a row would have been nice.

Absolutely! But carrying so much anger, and I will say hatred, just isn't healthy. It's nice to let that go.....
