Just to let you know.. I would have waited another week, but it is finals week, so I need to study more. Today is my day off.

So after a week of offseason talks with my pops and my grandpops, a more realistic offseason is neceasry....

So restructure the following deals
Vonta Leach
Jacoby Jones
Anquan Boldin
Terrel Suggs
Micheal Oher

Make them longer, and more cap freindly. All of these players are important parts of this team..........

All in all, we will not have enough to resign Kruger and Reed.

Losing Kruger is a blow to the defense (yeah, no shiz irrev) but Reed is an even bigger blow

Reed on the other hand might retire

Retirements
Ray Lewis
Birk

So resigning people

Flacco
If we win the SB, we have an elite QB here.. In other words, we need to pay da man!

Ellerbe
I believe at least, that he is one of the premir NFL ILBs. While ILB is still a need, Ellerbe is the succesor. Jameel can, if he is able to heal from his injury anyway, also be a good solid player.

So while yes, ILB is a need, it is not as big of a need as we originally thought. Ellerbe is a very good player, and if he keeps it up, will become a pernerrial pro bowler.

Mckinnie.
A stop gap player we need to get a short deal for. He is a good player when motivated. We need to figure out a way to motivate him. He is, when he is motivated a franchise LT. An important Player for us. Osemele is a future all pro guard, Yanda is an all pro guard, Oher can be an all pro RT, and we have a succesor at center. If Mckinnie is motivated, then we have one of the better groups in the whole NFL. A stop gap man is necesary....

So all in all, the depth chart is a very good one.... So cuts/ no resign
Cary Williams
Kemoatu
Bobbie Williams
Ryan McBean.
David Reed

Free Agency, when we get a cap freindly deal done for Joe, we have some cap room to work with.
Bushrod.
A potential franchise LT. While we do have Mckinnie, Bushrod would make Oher expendable, and we could use him as trade bait.

Now for the part we have all waited for............
TRADE our 1st round pick for an early 2nd, 3rd and early 4th
TRADE our 3rd, early 4th (from previous trade), and 6th to move into the mid 2nd

I am sorry Stm85, but this idea is brilliant the more and more I think about it.

I do not agree with all of your picks though

Round 2

2a.
Matt Elam.
I have fallen in love with this prospect. A hard hitter, a play maker, a potential ball hawk. Everything to love in one saftey. I was dead wrong about Elam here. I love him and would love to take him with our first pick in the draft!

2b.
Datone Jones DT/DE
A stud in rushing the passer, and most importantly, a good run defender. Was one of the leaders in TFL in the country. He could be one of the guys we draft that could get consistant preassure on the QB. Could be the consistant pass rush threat at DE that we have not had since Trevor Price.

2c.
Arthur Brown
He is a great prospect. A good Leader, good tackler, GREAT in coverage. The exact kind of LB that we need

3(from the trade)
Robert Woods.
I HATE USC PLAYERS. But Woods has everything I am looking for in regards to a WR
He is a great route runner
Has great hands
Has great speed.

He lacks elite size, which is ok. He is not as big asTorrey Smith is, but he has the ability to be a great WR. Ozzie does it yet again in the second round.

4 (comp)
Jelani Jenkins
If I am correct, he was set to be a high draft pick next year (like Pierce) if he were to declare. He might actually be a steal in the draft. We need to draft another consistant pass rusher. Suggs might never be the same again, we are probably losing Kruger, and Upshaw is an unkown. He is a speed rusher, which is exactly what we need. We have a good LB coach.

5
Sheldon Price CB
I am a big believer in the fact that one can never have too many CBs. He has the athletism, we have a good DB coach, and I trust him

5 (comp).
Kejon Barner
Pierce and Rice do not provide a Speed Spark offensivley on the Offense. Torrey does, but I am always a fan of a speed reciving back,

6. Taimi Tutogi FB
If we want a FB, we want an atheltic one. Leach is not going to be around forever, and we are going to need someone to groom behind him. A good athlete and a duel threat for a FB.

7. Joshua Boyd DT
Gregg went undrafted, we could find a NT anywhere

I quite like it, but quick note on Woods not being the 6'3" Torrey is...

Torrey Smith is listed at 6'1", as is Mr Woods. He's not really any smaller, he's just a little skinnier.

No wide receivers. I have gotten over the intense love most people have of drafting them. They take a few years to develop and it's always a gamble. At least signing D-linemen always gives you a body to stick in their. Receivers are usually hit or miss.

Definitely wouldn't want to take two WRs with so many other positions of need. We have a lot of potential in Doss, LaQuan, Streeter, Thompson, and others. Adding two more WRs makes a crowded WR corps even more crowded.

Also, Kyle Long is a pretty raw prospect. I cant see any way he goes in the second round. He's more of a mid to late round project player. 2nd round picks should generally be plug-n-play players, and he's not in that category.

I like Woods as well....He's honestly the only reciever I would want us drafting all together besides Robinson in the 4th or 5th. (Which I also really want lol).

I would love it if instead of Jenkins we drafted Jesse Williams. I also would like us to draft Braxton Cave around 4 or 5. IMO he's not that far off from Jones as the best center coming out. With Birk retiring, and Gino most likely starting we need depth a center.

He was a projected top 5 pick before the start of the season, but he had a down year playing through a foot injury, with Marqise Lee emerging and Barkley getting crushed behind a horrible o-line. Considering he still managed to haul in 11 TDs through all that and it still be considered a down year makes me like him more.

Cary Williams
Kemoatu
Bobbie Williams
Ryan McBean.
David Reed

Free Agency, when we get a cap freindly deal done for Joe, we have some cap room to work with.

Pickups
Louis Delmas FS

The Lions missed the young play maker when he went down with an injury.. He has a large amount of potential, and will come cheap due to the injuries.

Dayrl Smith MLB
Jacksonville is in chaos. I do not think they can retain him. A very good replacement for Ray Lewis.

Now for the part we have all waited for............
TRADE our 1st round pick for an early 2nd and early 4th
TRADE our 3rd, early 4th (from previous trade), and 6th to move into the mid 2nd

I am sorry Stm85, but this idea is brilliant the more and more I think about it.

I do not agree with all of your picks though

Round 2

2a.
Jonathan Jenkins
You never know with DT. Especially NTs. NTs are rare to find, a NT who can kill you with his size. Jenkins is a true NT who can suprisingly pass rush. He is not Terrance Cody big, but can be a very effective player in the NFL.

2b.
Robert Woods.
I HATE USC PLAYERS. But Woods has everything I am looking for in regards to a WR
He is a great route runner
Has great hands
Has great speed.

He lacks elite size, which is ok. He is not the 6'3 that Torrey Smith is, but he has the ability to be a great WR. Ozzie does it yet again in the second round.

2c.
Kyle Long. LT
A raw prospect who is freakishly athletic. This is why we signed Bryant back. Stopgap for him. Long has the chance to be an elite LT. Got the size, stregnth, and athletic ability to deal with speed rushers that you cannot teach. Technique can be taught, which is why I got to go with him here.

3 (comp)
Sean Porter OLB
A very good OLB prospect with the physical tools to be a star in the NFL. A very good solid prospect. I love the pick personally.

4 (comp)
Aaron Dobson WR
I am sorry, I cannot help it sometimes, but I simply do not trust the Jones/Doss/Streeter/LaQuan thing we have going in the back. The only downside with this prospect is his speed. He has average (4.5) NFL speed. Which is fine. I think that we need to start preparing for life outside of Boldin. Woods was the first man for the job. Dobson is a lot like Boldin, but with more size on him and speed. He has proven to have had great hands, a good route runner. The problem is he went to a school that does not face elite competition like the other schools listed above do. We do not know if he can match up vs an NFL DB. I think he can with his size, speed, hands, route running, combo. This guy would be a top 5 pick if he went to a bigger school.

5
Sheldon Price CB
I am a big believer in the fact that one can never have too many CBs. He has the athletism, we have a good DB coach, and I trust him

5 (comp)
A.J Klein
Instincts, Power, who is an average speedster for a MLB. I think he could be a steal for us going forward.

6. Taimi Tutogi FB
If we want a FB, we want an atheltic one. Leach is not going to be around forever, and we are going to need someone to groom behind him. A good athlete and a duel threat for a FB.

7. Matt Stankiewitch C

Quality Centers could be found anywhere.

Comment below... Thanks

Not bad. Some of those guys are really good. I have mixed opinions on Jenkins. He may not be a bad pick, though. He has been disruptive. Something makes me not trust his play, though. Not sure what. I also would like a MLB in there, like Minter. But then I really love Minter so that's probably bias. Not bad with Porter or Long, but a 2nd seems high for Long.

I agree. MLB can't do much without a NT. I have mixed opinions on the NT in this draft. I'm really not sold on them. I like the DEs much more. I just feel like other positions will be stronger at 32. :) I honestly think between Minter & Jenkins that Minter is the better player and I would take him before Jenkins.
