Tackling is only a minor problem at this point. I said last week that our secondary was the 500 pound pink elephant in the room that no one wanted to talk about, I think we need to talk about it now. Our offense needs a big wr and our defense needs to be knocked back down to the earth, hopefully this last one has already been accomplished.

a minor problem......you got to be kidding me neepo. we missed a huge amount of tackles today that led to large amounts of yardage. and yardage leads to time of possession and points

Compared to the other problems we had yes it is. When you have someone in 3rd and long and they complete the pass and keep the drive going, thats as big a problem, if not bigger, then a missed tackle.

Were you watching the same game as the rest of us?

over 200 rushing yards and at least 100 YAC, thats ridiculous.

The only reason that the giants had 200 yards rushing is because we missed a mass amount of tackles. you remember that 77 yard run by bradshaw? if tackled when first hit he gains a a few yards not 77. how about the 38 or whatever it was by jacobs? tackled in the backfield instead of letting him bounce off is a loss of 2. make tackles and the giants would have not been on the field. manning did nothing to us.

Better safety play could have helped. The Giants offensive line manhandled our defensive line, if we didnt have to committ some more people to pass protection, we could have blitzed to stop the run more.

Yes, but secondary missed tackles, which leads me back to my point, everyone missed tackles, they had the back stopped, then he popped out and ran for an insane amount of yards, so you fix tackling, you fix alot of what happened today. As for coverage, yeah were not gonna be great with 2 starters on IR but at least tackle and limit the yardage

I think the point is that he should of never made it to the secondary to begin with

its our lbs and lineman that werent making the tackles. im pretty sure leonhard made the tackle everytime the ball carrier was around him. it is not the job of the corners to have to make the tackle on a rb everydown. they are ment to cover wrs not rbs.

Neepo, give it up. You're silly if you think tackling is not a LARGE problem. Fundamantals make the big plays and stops possible. Tackling is Fundamental!

blitzing is to put pressure on the quarter back and the passing game not to stop the run. if you wanna stop the run you have to control the line of scrimmage and get push

I didnt say it wasnt a problem. I said it wasnt our biggest problem. Our secondary sucks so we cant committ our enter front seven to stopping the run like we usually do. A better secondary in there and we probably have a little more success stopping the run.

The Ravens actually do blitz the run.

after the showing of NY Rushing game i think, there were the entire baltimore defense drinking around the block near my house.

hey take the fun, is just a lose, its not the end of the world.

Notice we didn't really get lit up in the secondary, because it wasn't needed. With our poor tackling we allowed them to move the chains with HUGE runs! Also, the secondary was performing better because we had a pass rush today. I shoud look back at the DVR and count the yards after contact on a RUN play. Also, the secondary misses tackels adding insult to injury!

The Giants converted 3rd and long on us quite a bit in critical situations. If I am not mistaken it was a big pass play that set the Giants up inside the 10 yard line on their first TD drive after Jacobs long run, where Fabian Washington blew coverage. When we stack the box against the run, our db's cant hold up if its a pass and against an offensive line like the Giants we have to committ all seven to stop the run. We couldnt do it because of our sorry secondary. With the secondary we have, we either committ to stop the pass or committ to stop the run, we committed to stop the pass. Better players in the secondary and we can continue to committ all seven up front to the run.

Yeah your right. BUT we have alot of people on here dissing and saying "The season's over for us, we're not gonna make it to the superbowl. Hell, we'd be lucky to make it to the playoff's"

Which isnt right. The season isnt over yet. We still have 6 more games. So act like it.
