BloodRaven

It's stressful being a Ravens fan

Close games can turn your stomach and make your hair turn grey, for some though the pressure can be a little to much to handle.

This was pretty much how I was for the full hour of which the fourth quarter and both OT periods consisted.

No exaggeration.

Man, all the Broncos fans told me the game was in the bags in the late fourth quarter. However, I told them the game ain't over till it's over. When the Mile High Miracle happened, I was jumping around the sportsbar saying it ain't over till it's over.

Flacco has done plenty of 4th quarter comebacks before and this one was no exception. What sets Flacco apart from others is that he only needs 10 seconds to launch a bomb for a touchdown.

It was an emotional back-and-forth game that both team played their hearts out. I'm glad that I was able to witness what could be one of the greatest games to ever see in Ravens' history.

haha it most certainly is. I was at Buffallo wild wings watching the game, and after the turn over on downs with 3mins left to play I up and left the bar and headed home and turned on the radio and heard about the overtime and nearly crashed my car speeding home to watch OT haha

And I thought it really got your heart pumping when it showed the sidelines and all the Ravens players holding there heads down or under there coats in those many "I cant watch this!" scenarios. And so many OMG plays like the play where Flacco over threw torrey, but then Torrey came back and caught that beautiful TD in the second quarter. And the Jacoby Jones TD and the 3rd and 13 from the Ravens 3 yard line Dennis Pitta catch. great game but a lot of crazy plays

After the Cleveland game, I said that I finally understood how it feels to be a Giants fan.

Ah well, without the lows the highs aren't as great. If we go to the Super Bowl it'll be all the sweeter because of what happened last year.

I checked your math and it's correct. I said in the game thread that in the 2nd half we would start to preasure him and that's what happened. As it gets colder even if you don't get the sack but can start to hit him he'll remember that. Now if you continue to pressure him in the cold with a smart defense he'll make mistakes. It took a while but it happened. I knew as long as we could get a few yards before punting in OT we would have a shot. We got lucky with them giving us the Boldin catch and then the pretty throw and catch from Flacco to Pitta on that 3rd and long cause though they didn't score it set up decent field position when they punted.

Stressful? You bet! And a lot of fun to watch too! Not generally one given to fate and destiny but when Joe threw that 70 yard pass I just sat back and relaxed; at that point I knew we'd won this one. This game stays on the DVR for eternity!

I gave up on the game 3 or 4 times. My girl kept telling me that "it ain't over till it's over." It was such a roller coaster of emotion that it took me a couple of hours to get my mind around what i had just watched. This is why it's so great to be a Ravens fan.

It's extremely stressful, especially knowing at any moment the Zebra is waiting to call a PF for playing football. Even when the Hailmary occurred I went crazy screaming ( I was at work at the Casino ) but I quickly calm down and said wait refs prolly throw a flag. Then I went back to check on work area, before I got back to a tv I received 4 txts saying no flags lol.

This game had me sweating

As a Canadian that came down to watch the Monday Night Football home opener back in September, I can say that I was hooked on the Ravens.
The win yesterday will no doubt play on highlight reels for years to come.

Go Ravens Go!

That was no miracle. Miracles are rare. Soon as the Ravens got the ball back with a minute+ on the clock I knew it was 7 points and a tie game. Joe does it all the time. When the chips are down and we need that score he can drive down the field like he has Miss Daisy in the back seat. Miracle my keister. It was typical nail-biting, heart-wrenching Ravens football.

This team is hard on the heart.

Its not stressful when your team just flat out sucks. Its like being an Orioles fan prior to last year. You would never see people acting like that because we were so knee deep in disappointment it was not worth getting excited about.

That Youtube video of that fan is either staged, or that man's going to be one of those dads at his kids' soccer games that beats the heck out of an old lady for saying something about his kid.

Scary for sure, but I loved the heck out of it, and I'd ride it again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely lovely. The way I cope with the stress is I turn off the damn TV and have my wife watch it upstairs and relay only positive outcomes. While I fret and fume in the shower praying to every God in my arsenal that we play like we are capable of! Man I feel your pain, because I thought I was the only one that was agonizing as much to the point I thought I may have some crazy in me!!!!!! LOL

The best part of this is the end "Alright, Dad," and he hangs up. He never said anything else. His father just gets it. It's just about sharing that incredible moment.
It is stressful being a Ravens fan, or any sports fan, but the stressful ones are always the best memories.

That's obviously fake and forced so they could post a YouTube video.

I wish I was able to record our reaction in the bar when Jones made that TD. The place exploded with cheers and people screaming for joy.

I now have a grey hair thanks to this game. I literally have one solitary grey hair that appeared the morning after this game. I'm 20 and I have my first grey hair thanks to this team and you know what? I'm cool with it.

I was concerned that it was over until we got the ball back. I knew we would tie it. Joe has driven for the TD with a minute or so left on the clock too many times for me not to be sure. Once we hit OT I was sweating again.

 I watched the game at a friend's house - of course they scheduled D and D night for that night and I was seriously considering not going. They needed a drunk bard however, and so I had to go. None of them are really football fans per se, I mean they like the Ravens but don't really follow that closely. At every up and down I would break character and scream and whine and complain about Manning actually being IN the referee huddle telling them what to call and I was also getting pretty hammered (drunk bard, I HAD TO ;) ) and when Mr. Tucker nailed that 47 yarder I couldn't contain myself. I ran outside his apartments at full speed, my arms raised in the air like Joe screaming like a banshee (that was for you, Billick). People opened up their windows and asked me what the Hell my problem was. I told them we'd just won on a field goal in 2OT and I had the entire complex screaming their fool heads off too! Ahh what a great game.

As a victim of another nail-biting photo finish game this week I can fully relate. I am starting to believe the Falcons are trying to kill me. I told my wife I needed to check the NFL shop for a Falcons branded defribillator. I am still having a hard time watching the highlights.

What a good game you had. I was on the edge of my seat. I was so proud of Flacco. I was so glad he put up the kind of performance that will shut up the naysayers for at least a little while.

Manning waiting around for an hour and a half really shows what kind of player R.Lewis is and what he has meant to this league. If we get a chance to meet you in the SB and some of you come visit our board I apologize in advance for some of the classless things they will say. I can't really justify it other than to say no matter what we have done this year we have been disrespected. Every positive article still managed to take pot shots at how we had not won a PO game. We have some angry fans. Doesn't excuse it though. I hope you remember that we are not all that way. I have always tried to be a respectful visitor here.

While yes its stressful being a Ravens fan, and yes its probably taken years off my life (lol), its worth every minute. I couldn't imagine rooting for any other team.

Just to add my little story in, when Jacoby caught that pass, i ran screaming through the house, arms raised in the air. That was amazing. And then the whole house exploded when Tucker made the kick. What a game. One of the best I've ever seen.
