Just wanted to say this... the offense does NOT run through Ray Rice. It runs through Joe Flacco. Then, if he succeeds, it can run through Ray Rice. But it all starts with #5.
Other than Ray Rice's 32 yard carry at the end of the 3rd quarter, we got just 3.2 yards per carry on rushes today. Not good. Must improve next week.

I think he earned a Roethelisberger or Schaub-esque contract today. Hopefully he keeps it next week... and the week after.

What do you think he gets if he wins the SB MVP

It seemed like we were running left too much, especially at the goal line. McKinnie has been pretty dang good in pass pro the past two weeks, but he's still hopeless at run blocking. Then again, Oher sucks all around and didn't hold the block firm more than once, notably when he left Von Miller get inside to stuff the run. Regardless, Rice has problems moving the pile and getting consistent yardage, which was part of the problem under Cam. Improve the OL and he'll get better, or get him more involved in space where he's dangerous. Use Pierce to pound it.

Eli's contract exactly. And he could make a case for a little more.

Didn't Smith come back tonight?

Anyway, that is very reassuring. I'm confident in our run game against New England or Houston.

SF has bad pass D. Most overrated D in the NFL. NE D flat out sucks. Flacco should tear them up

Flacco will play in his 12th post-season game next week.

That will rank tied 17th all-time most post-season games started with Bob Griese and Craig Morton. A fifth year QB, tied for 17th most post-season games started. Pretty cool.

His 7 wins are tied 19th all-time with Ken Stabler and Bob Griese.

His 5 road wins are tied #1 all-time with Eli Manning.

By the way, today he broke the record for most post-season starts in the first 5 years of a quarterbacks career. He had been tied with Roethlisberger at 10. He's now at 11, and will be at 12 next week. His 7 wins are 3rd all-time behind just Roethlisberger (8) and Brady (9). If we somehow win the Super Bowl this year, he will tie Tom Brady.

Yeah, I'm just tired of hearing about how the Ravens need to feed Rice the ball, and how other teams need to make Flacco beat them through the air and that will give them the advantage. Ray Rice gets the fantasy stats, but he doesn't carry the offense. Stopping him doesn't mean what people think it does.

No, you had your chance. You will always be a hater. :268213:

Give him a break maybe. He was on here BEFORE the game saying he thought Flacco would have a big game and lead us to the win.

Joe needs a nickname, that Joe Cool is unoriginal. I like Bazooka Joe or Joe "Big Throw" Flacco.

That's what Ray Lewis called, so that's good for us as a fanbase. But from a National Media standpoint, I think Jacoby Jones had it right. When Joe let the that ball go deep, it's like yeah baby. So he calls him Smokin' Joe

Joe was spot on today. Sure, he scared me a few times. He made plays, though. He made throws than few other QBs can make. He stepped up in the collapsing pocket. He moved in the pocket. He made small and big throws. He wowed me today more than ever.
In this game, he made almost no mistakes. He usually got rid of the ball quickly, threw most passes to where his receiver could get them but the defender could not, did some fine "pocket dancing" to avoid rushers and extend the play, had some killer long passes. Short of that one fumble his game was near perfect. It was definitely better then Manning's.

Swear I feel like I recognize so many people who doubted flacco early on this year and wanted Tyrod Taylor to play, who are on here ranting about how good he is. People doubting his skill, saying he is terrible and cant lead us to the promise land. Haha sure I have called Flacco out before.. But some people on here honestly need to really think about how valuable Flacco is to our team.

In the words of Ray Lewis 'Joe grew up today. I looked at him before we went down the tunnell and said Joe your are general now lead us to the promise land". Flacco just had the best game of his career against a top 3 defense and made every clutch throw and nearly played perfect. Flacco is our leader now and all the doubters can go be Pats fans.

This. Imagine when he puts two great halfs together.
Thats right. Imagine if the cold had not slowed our usually excellent special teams to molasses and they had prevented those two run backs? 38-21 anyone? Blow out.

Seriously? You're going to hate on Joe right now? Without Joe... this game would've been over by halftime. Cheer up, man! We won!
Well, there is always room for improvement. It would be nice if we could possess the ball a little longer. I like seeing the offense play after all. Do they have to be show offs and win with less TOP? heh heh heh.
