You know, it freaking scary to think on what Joe has become. With no Cam he has looked elite week in and week out.
Now we know Cam was the problem.

In all fairness for the facts, Joe has had a similar streak of success back in 2010 when Cam was in charge. He had a 6-game stretch where his lowest passer rating was a 99.5 and his average during that stretch was a 111.6 with 13 TDs and 2 INTs.

He also had his previous best streak of passes without an INT, where he went 91/139, 8 TD, 0 INT --> 109.5 QB Rating, over a 4 and 1 half + 1 quarter game stretch (his current streak is also over a 4 and 1 half + 1 quarter game stretch).

I don't know what I'm trying to say by bringing that up, because I personally believe Cam was holding the offense back and that Caldwell is doing a better job now than Cam was ever capable of doing... But at the same time, this isn't Joe's first sniff of incredible success for extended periods of time, so let's hope there's no regression like there was after the 2010 season. I'll be fully sold after a few games of the 2013 season have been played and the success remains, which I have a high level of confidence will occur.

Actually just saw this on the main NFL.com site... very interesting stuff...

http://www.nfl.com/n...n-elite-company

Anyone think Joe could throw for 4 TDs and break Montana's record?
Even if he does, he has to also not throw any INTs to still qualify for the record.

Joe Flacco is closing in on Joe Montana for most TDs thrown in a post season without an INT. In '89 Montana had 11 Tds and no INTs. Joe is at 8 right now.

So 4 TD's against the 49ers then in the SB. No problemo.

No easy task, for sure. I won't put it past him though. He's capable of it, and San Fran's secondary CAN be exposed. Even if he doesn't break it or tie it, what Joe has done is impressive.

Has he already tied or broken Manning's or Brady's records?

That's just too funny man.

Seriously though, I don't give two craps what the media says about anybody anymore. Most of it is just comedy.

I knew Cam was the problem all along. Many people here did. many others suspected it. It is just starting to be proven now.

After beating Luck, besting Manning and trashing Brady? Amazing.

In Flacco's last 28 games (including playoffs), he has thrown 6456 Yards, 44 TDs, and just 16 INTs. That goes back to the first Cincinnati game in the 2011 Season, which was his sort of come-back game after that loss in Seattle.

That's a 92.0 QB Rating in that span.

That's the best news I've heard in a while - I'm more worried when Joe is favored over the other quarterback.

Well I'm pretty sure if you asked people before last year's Superbowl which quarterback they'd rather have on their team, Eli or Brady, most people would have picked Brady.
