Naw, this is the perfect way for him to retire and only makes the legend grow. Yes, he could come back next year and play at a high level, but going out on his terms is best.

Did a whole thread on it last year. It was a signing I went to, but was thumbing thru the pics just now and felt I needed to post one again in Rays thread.

We need this ring. Reed, Suggs, Ngata, Birk, BA, Boldin and McKinnie are a few who I feel really deserve this. Been in the league a long time and have worked hard. Lewis has one but I feel deserves another. I know team windows shouldn't close but for a few of those players its getting real close to the end. The media would need to find another punching bag with Flacco having a ring as well. I'd also win about 200 but even better would be everyone who ever doubted Joe would have to eat their words cause he would most likely end up SB MVP.

this has been a rough season I just saw a report that Ray Lewis's grandmother is sick with complications of diabetes and is not going to make it through . thats has be horrible esp now for him. csn is reporting it .

I feel bad for Ray here. This may be part of the reason he has been so emotional lately. End of career/Grandmother/working hard to get back in the lineup, etc.

Having read of Ray's grandmother, I can only say that this should give him more burning desire to win in his last game.

I sincerely hope Ray wins it, for his grandmother, and certainly for the City That Reads - Baltimore, Maryland.
