This was the offense that was supposed to kill us?
:229031_rofl:

That would have been after Indy was supposed to kill us...no wait, I mean Manning and the Broncos? I am sort of losing track here. Next team up.

PFF be da greatest!

Same people who had Matt Birk as the top center a couple of years ago, give me a break
Somehow the longest run for the Pats was 8 yards and the defense was rated so negatively. Apparently, the Pats running backs would just give themselves up and fall down after 3-4 yard gains. lol

Flacco got a +3.1

I think the website has a great idea but without actual football guys that know each teams scheme and/or responsibility on each play it is poorly executed at times.

If you hold Tom Brady to 13 points in HIS house there is no way that defense performed at a negative -11.1 rating.
Didn't you say Brady got a +3.6? How exactly can anybody justify Brady having a better game than Flacco? It's completely crazy. ESPN did the same thing last year to Flacco in the AFC Championship game. Brady had a bad game and got a great "QBR" score, while Flacco had an excellent game and got a below average one. There is some hypocrisy going on, there has to be.

Thanks fellas! No matter what team you support, I will ALWAYS respect courteous and well informed fans like you guys. Good luck for next season to both of your clubs. :)
No shame on any of them for supporting a good team, and, love them or hate them, the Pats are a good team. Not as good as a purple wearing team I can think of...but, no one is perfect. Well, almost no one.

Brady got a -0.6. Sorry about that.

I was just in shock when their offense as a whole got a +20.2 while the Ravens Defense got a -11.7.

The Pats averaged 35 ppg during the regular season, were 4th passing, and 7th rushing.....holding them to 13 pts, a 62 rating for Brady, and under 4 yards per carry in the running game does not deserve such a poor score.

Here's my take on the game last night. Had to digest it all, let the PBR wear off and let it set in.
1st half- I honestly got choked up when I saw the close up of Ray crying during the National Anthem. The defense was giving way on the ground, but we were keeping Brady to short throws..and we held them in the redzone 3 out of 4 times..you cant ask for a better performance from the D.
The offense was a little predictable because we were bottled deep in our own territory for most of the half. Our best starting posotion was at the 30-That drive ended in a TD.

Second half- Anquan manned up on the Pats D they could not stop him..amazing. I scratched my head when after we got two calls against us for hits, the refs let the hit on Pitta go..but egg on their face because we went right back to Pitta for the TD.

Oh and btw our "old" "slow" defense shut the highest scoring offense in the NFL out in the 2nd half.
You could just see that we weren't going to be denied. I cant wait to watch the replay

Brady also got 45 garbage time yards in the final few minutes (not including the 36 yarder to Welker before the Ellerbe INT).

Brady was held in check the entire game WHILE limiting their running game. If that isn't a "positive" performance by any statistical measure or metric then I don't know what is.

They do get it right a lot of the time, but then they do stuff like this it leaves you scratching your head.

They're much better at ranking players individually, they called breakouts from guys like Atkins, Casey, Kruger and Washington.

TV and internet were down last night, so I wasn't able to watch the game. It was absolute torture not knowing the result until this morning but I'm so happy right now.

I've been watching the highlights and NFL.com actually posted an individual video of Brady kicking Ed as he went into his slide on NE's last posession before the half. Considering the countless times he's complained to refs for after legal hits, that's just pathetic.
ugh, sucks you missed that game!

Yeah, even my Steeler fan buddy texted me to tell me about Brady.

I think we should from here on out call him Crybrady

I'm so sorry, glad that's over now! And I agree. If Reed would've fell on him because of that the refs would of probably threw a flag for their golden boy.
Exactly. I remember London Fletcher somehow getting flagged for this last season. Absolute b.s.
Despite forcing 3 turnovers, holding the Pats to 13 points, and under 4 yards per carry Pro Football Focus gave the defense a collective -11.1 rating?

Brady got a +3.6 and the Pats Offense got a +20.2.............

I guess this is what happens when a football grading website is ran by people who have no experience with football at all.
I like the stats PFF accumulates that you can't find anywhere else and some of their "signature stats" like "pass rushing productivity" are interesting, but their final grades seem to be way too subjective.

Yes I agree with this. I don't know how you can justify a negative ranking for a D that holds the Patriots to 13 pts and forces 3 turnovers.

Beautiful, onlly 1 TD given up!! Cary has played amazing in these playoffs! Really stepped it up! Crabtree vs Cary should be interesting. I say we keep Jimmy on the field most of the game to cover Smith and that way have better speed on the field if Kaepernick wants to run

I agree but I really wish Webb was back right about now.

Also, do you like how broke the stats up and grouped the DBs and LBs for everyone's convenience?!

Thanks a lot.

Glad to see Jimmy got a fair amount of run and played well. Upshaw will probably see a lot more action in the Super Bowl.

Another sore loser sighting. Apparently Welker's wife had to take shots at Ray Lewis last night on facebook. Perhaps Welker should have caught a few more balls.

Besides, I believe in second chances and if you can't notice how Lewis has transformed, I feel bad for you.

Its funny because so many Patriots fans are saying we have no class. But then we get this from a player's wife.

Seriously though. Google 'Anna Burns' and look at the pictures. Is she really a good role model and one to speak out about the characters of others? Especially when your career is as a 'trophy wife'.
