OK, let me teach everyone about the Lee Evans play last year. He did not drop the ball. It was knocked out of his hands by a DB on a bang-bang play. If you want the see evidence, go to YouTube and search the words "Lee Evans dropped pass." The Flock is getting their emotions involved on this play, overlooking the fact on film. Live in the real world, gang.
It's called "the drop" for a reason. Yes, it was a good defensive play, but we wouldn't be discussing this if Evans had held on to the ball like a good WR is expected to do. I hate thinking of it and I didn't want to respond....

But why the hell would we ever give Lee Evans a ring? He didn't contribute to anything we did this season. In the real world, teams don't do that. We might as well give Cundiff one too.

But let's not worry about this right now.

You attack me, I have a first degree black belt in TKD. I will hurt them.

They struck first, and I returned the favor

@Balt yes the defender made a last second play on the ball but every analyst who was an ex receiver said Lee Evans relaxed and in result didn't secure the ball which allowed that defensive play to happen. It was a bang bang play but that doesn't change that. I respect Lee Evans as a person and actually wanted him to get a second chance but I'm confused why he would get a ring when he wasn't apart of this year's team and was only on the team for one season.

we will win this game 34 16
look for our defense to force turnovers and score
pats gimmick offense will be deciphered early in the game
just like vs denver
we will punish brady
and move to NOLA to defeat the 49ers in the 'HAR-bowl'
the Ravens are beginning a dynasty, the issue is can flacco
play mistake-free ball, if he doesnt our D , like always
will carry us. i hope the Har-Bowl is ugly defensive war, like 16 3 Ravens.
i wish it was on grass.
i wish Ray was staying, because, i can see us winning 3 straight Lombardis!!!!

said Lee Evans.

Sorry. If it hits you in the hands, and it comes out, it's a freaking drop. No stupid excuses. It. Is. A. Drop. No. Questions. Asked.

So if Webb did the Same. Exact. Thing. To Welker we would not be praising Webb for making a great game saving play? We would all be razzing Welker for dropping the pass? I don't think so. If fact I can say with utmost certainty that we would be hailing Webb as a great defender. A drop is when it hits you in the hands and, without any outside influence, you fail to keep hold of the ball. Come on, we see them all the time, with a few of our players... Much as we hate to admit it, the Evans play was just good defense. I am not saying that Evans could not have done more to avoid that defense. That is a WRs job after all.

Let me clarify; if we are going with a dictionary definition, then yes it is a drop, but even if a defender punches the ball free it would still qualify as a (dictionary definition) drop. I am saying that had Evans been alone he would likely have maintained control of the ball. Of course that last part is just opinion.

Yep. Right on.
Our loss still hurts from last year and that is why we will come in amped-up in tomorrow's game in New England. Glad you watched the Lee Evans' play and stayed objective when you saw the defender contribute to him losing the ball.

Drop, punched out, whatever! The fact remains, Lee failed to secure the ball as is taught to receivers beginning in Pop Warner. He screwed up, lost the game and blew our trip to the SB. He's not a bad guy because of it, just not a Raven anymore.

The Ravens can't afford to leave points on the field like they did last year. They must play zero mistakes, no picks by joe. I rather see him take a sack then throw a pick under pressure. No special teams blown coverage like last week, and our special teams must get good field position on returns.
