Well, I've decided to finally make a mock draft in regard to who I want the Ravens to pick in April.
Due to my mega laziness I am only mocking the Ravens first two picks. All of this could change after the combine. Obviously round s 3,4,5,6, and 7 would have been nice, but frankly round one and two are the most important to me. I'll probably make a complete Mock post combine and after everyone has announced whether they will enter the draft or not. Hope you enjoy and I'm open to any suggestions.

1st-Matt Elam-S-Florida

I think our defense is clearly going to have to be upgraded over the next few off-seasons and in some way rebuilt. I think Ed is definitely at the tail end of his career and is going to have to be replaced. I really like Elam because he brings some really good attributes to the table that could make him a potentially complete safety. He's a hard hitter and makes a lot of good open field tackles. He also has the athleticism to be really good safety in this league.

Alternate picks: Kevin Mingo, Barrett Jones,....... and yes I put Manti Teo after his godawful performance in the BCS championship

2nd-Da'Rick Rogers-WR-Tennessee Tech/Tennessee

Assuming that we will be picking at the end of the second round, I think Da'Rick is BPA. Rogers would be a really good player to develop behind Q, to eventually take over from Q. Rogers is a Big, physical, strong and athletic receiver that could put our passing over the top. He gives you a decent amount of speed and will also give you that jump ball threat. He would be a very good threat in the redzone, and is a guy you can just throw it up to. To me this guy could be a beast if developed right and he keeps his prior off the field issues in the past. Reminds me a little of Dwayne Bowe. Deandre Hopkins would be my preferred pick here, but I highly doubt he will be available here.

Alternate picks:Deandre Hopkins(if available), Arthur Brown, Oday Aboushi(stock rising, so doubtful)

I like your first pick a lot. In fact, I love it. I want Elam bad. But with that said, not a fan of your 2nd. I would rather take Minter, Brown, Aboushi, Floyd or Short. Possibly even Jesse Williams, even though I am not a big fan.

I may be in the minority here, but I do not like the WRs in the top-end of this class. I like the TEs in this class but not so much the WRs. I just don't see too many guys who are elite or even great talents. I see very good talent but nothing that WOWS me. I'd rather take an OLB over a WR.

Well we're pciking in the bottom half the second round; Elite talent isnt going to be there no matter what.

You know what? I disagree. See, here's my point: last year I said to people "let's get Mohamed Sanu" in the 2nd. People said there was no way he dropped there. What happened? That's one example, I know. How about another. Upshaw was regarded as a top-10 pick. What happened. I'm so sick of the "elite talent will not be there" slogan. I know Sanu isn't "elite" but he's good. Randle fell to the 2nd. How'd that happen? I mean, ILB is not a top position. Unless they are super elite or versatile or sought-after, they won't be going that high. OLBs/DE, CB, QB, OT even, some OTs. The truth is look back on the players drafted. You'll see a trend.

I just think there is a good chance Minter, Aboushi, Brown, Short or Floyd makes it to us.

So much this.

You can't guarantee a player going anywhere after the last few drafts. Teams are getting more and more desperate for QBs and teams picking towards the top of the draft have been making rash decisions and going for "reaches" on numerous occasions.

That brings me in nicely to say I think I was the only person that saw upshaw s demise! I knew he wasn't going to go high. I still think to this day we could have took him where we got KO

I'm a fan of both picks. Elam just looks and plays like a Raven and Da'Rick probably is a first-round talent who's only falling because of his suspension at Tennessee.

I REALLY hope we take Matt Elam. That would be a great pick, and so would Rogers.

I like both mocked picks. And I'm real big on Kevin minter, Olgetree ( whom won't be available), Arthur Brown at LB also.

Since NT don't usually get drafted high and chiefs reached for D.Poe after crazy combine and he struggle early on, I'm sure teams will draft normal again. So I think either J.Hankins, J.Jenkins could be available in late first round to help sure up the defensive front. Since Kemoeatu has been pathetic and Cody hasn't been inconsistent too.
