I'm not going to get into free agency to much apart from saying all RFAs are signed, flacco is signed, ellerbe is signed.

Kruger and reed I think unfortunately miss out.

I think boldin, jones and leach are all extended saving cap to get a deal done with joe and ellerbe.

There will be no big name signings in free agent, maybe bushrod, but I don't think he'd be an improvement over oher. I like a guy like Terrance Knighton for competiton on dline.

Round 1 we trade back into the second where there is a hell of a lot of talent. According to the draft trade chart our pick is valued around 700 to 600. I'm assuming a team like Arizona trade up to grab a quarterback like Barkley for example that won't go in the early part of the first IMO.

That pick is valued around 550, so we would need at least 150, which I am going to increase a good bit because of the, IMO, completion for those top of the second round teams looking to move up for falling qbs.

So we get a top 10 pick in round 2 and round 3, amounting to about 800 ish.

We then use our own 3 and the one we just got to trade into the mid 2, leaving three 2nd round picks.

I also assume we get a 4, 5, and two 6th comp picks.

Now what I see as potential picks in no particular order are an ILB, safety, DE/NT, T/G, OLB as I think Kruger goes, blocking tight end that can catch and run routes, maybe a wide receiver.

Round 2

Matt Elam, safety, Florida. Great talent. Leader of the defense, you constantly see him pointing out audibles and other things to players, while being a vocal leader as well. Hard tackler, lays punishing hits. Great mobility, range and athleticism to cover the whole field. Great instincts.

Now this is where I'm in a bind. There is so much second round talent. A wideout like Da Rick Rodgers has great potential, but we have young talent there do we look at him?

Ultimately, I think we go for an ILB, Kevin minter won't be there i don't think, so I go with Arthur Brown. Great instincts, can run with anyone, great in coverage, very athletic. Uses his hands well to fight off blockers, solid tackler, misses some other bigger ILB may make, but with ellerbe and people like upshaw around him for run d, we primarily need a coverage guy and he fits the bill.

With our final second I'm in another bind. I don't think the ravens will draft a tackle, but if they will, look at chris Faulk here who could be a left tackle in the NFL, If not, a right tackle, with oher on the left and KO at left guard.

Here the ravens select Sharif Floyd, DE, Florida. He plays with great technique, low pad level, good leverage, gets a lot of push. Athletic and agile in there. Great in run defense and gets pressure, alhough hasn't accumulated the sacks. Will provide a good rotation on the dline of him, Jones, McPhee, Ngata. Also opens the door to ngata going to NT.

No round three picks.

Round 4

I think we trade up in round 4, using our fifth round pick. We select OLB Brandon Jenkins, FSU. This guy has great talent as a pass rusher. Should help with the lose of Kruger. Falling because of his injury, he has great explosion and violent hands, much like Kruger. Also like Kruger won't be amazing on run defense, but upshaw is there for that.

With our comp pick we go oline. Hugh thorton Illinois. Playing tackle but lacks the height so I see him as a guard at the next level. Has a good base and leverage, good strength and punch at the point of attack. Sould be able to play tackle if need be.

Round 5

With our comp pick, Michael Williams, TE, bama. A primarily run blocking tight end and has blocked for some good ones. He can come out and catch some balls, and at 6'5 would be a good redone target for Joe.

We traded our own fifth to move up in the fourth.

Round 6

We have three picks here, two being comp picks.

One pick i want to be spent on Tyrann Mathieu. I'm not sure where he will play on the nfl, probably a joker type position, A cross between corner and safety. What I know is he is playmaker. He has an nose for the ball, good solid tackler, can cover, although he's small. He can blitz etc. He would provide good depth at corner back, I'm assuming Williams is gone. Graham, Webb, smith, himself, brown is a good stable of young cornerbacks. We also don't know how Webb and smith will be going into next season.

Will immediately play on special teams, on both sides.

One click on Branson cave centre from ND. Provide depth on the line and help push gino.

The other on QB depth. Sean Renfree for, duke. Bit more of a traditional passer than Tyrod, would be a better back up as you don't have to change the whole system for him.

Round 7

Tom wort linebacker from Oklahoma. Fast athletic, will be used on special teams. Replace BA Who I see leaving.

Where did you get the idea to trade for 3 2nd round picks? ;) I like it. What do you have us doing in the later rounds?

I was just busting balls cause I did the same thing in my mock yesterday. I like the focus on D, we need an injection of youth. I really think we need to address LT though. It is the biggest need we have imo. I like all the picks except Mathieu. I really don't want him. He seems to be a lockerroom cancer and I don't think he has an NFL skill set. Why not take a guy like Seantrel Henderson in the 6th who could be a developmental LT instead?

I really like the Chris Faulk pick - his body size and playing style is similar to Orlando Pace (not saying he is), they both have a great hand punch and strong upper bodies, and good in the run game. Faulk doesnt have the nimble feet of Pace but it could develop, hopefully he heals well

I really hope we get Mathieu too. If he wouldn't of gotten in trouble he would've been first round no doubt. I would take him 5th round, possibly even 4 to make sure he's ours.

I haven't looked at Brown any but you seem to like him alot so I trust your judgement regarding him.

I don't think we should go for WR that early, unless someone falls and it would be great value. I'd like us to just focus on defense & offensive line in this years draft. If Boldin doesn't resign with us though, WR would become a need. I'd like us to fill that threw FA though, but don't think we have the $ for someone big.

Also I agree we lose Kruger, and probably Reed. :(

I think I'm just in denial about losing Ed. Maybe Ray talks to him about how special it is for him staying with one team his entire career. I'm really hoping he stays another year or 2. If he hits FA then it's either the Patriots or Colts imo, even though every team will want him.

Actually I put it out there a couple weeks ago in my second mock!! People keep stealing it ;)

I like the draft Arnie. My only objection is Shariff Floyd likely won't be there at the end of the second round. Maybe a Kawann Short or Margus Hunt would be more likely.

Kawan. Short is the guy I regularly read about who gave the Oline problems. Would love to get him.

That seems like it was worded wrong...

I've seen a lot of mocks with short in the first round now which is my issue with putting him there. If we couldn't get floyd I'd happily draft Faulk as a tackle. I thnk hunt will be gone by this stage as well. And of not Faulk then maybe Rodgers who is a great talent at wideout, that'd be more a luxury than a need.

I like the draft. I would be happy with those picks. I haven't watched enough YouTube game film on Brown yet, but I have seen some games and he is really good in sideline-to-sideline coverage. I still have Minter higher than him but the kid can play. But I am not sure--you don't think an ILB can fall further? I mean, ILBs typically don't go too high so I feel like we could get him perhaps at the end of the 2nd.

I like Faulk as an OT, and I think he could be had in the 3rd but we don't have one. Perhaps we could settle with two 2nds and get Faulk and possibly a DE that falls? One DE has to fall. Law of averages and all.

Edit: I didn't say this but I like Mathieu a lot, same for Jenkins and Williams as a TE. I am in love with Elam. I think he would be an awesome addition here.

Good mock.... I don't think Floyd is around that late.... I would take a WR that late in the second. A Woods or Rodgers if they are there

I as well was reading some game by game analysis of O line play, and the top flight linemen all struggled vs Short apparently. Thats good say something.

If we want short I think he'd have to be a first round pick. If we done that I'd happily give up my fourth and fifth to move up in the second round to grab Elam then take a Gerald hodges in the third.

I like that scenario. Personally I like Floyd a bit more than Short, but would be happy with either. I think they would both be solid picks in the first round and might be available in a trade back situation. That's why I like the idea of a trade back so much. I dont think at this point there is much separation in the top 15-50 players in this draft, and that range is loaded with front 7 as well as safety talent. If we could get 2 picks in the top 50 and another late 2nd I like our chances of landing some impact players.

I think the picks are nice, but after watching what McKinnie's re-insertion has done to our offensive line, I really think finding a long-term solution at left tackle is critical.
