Here is how I envision us winning the game. Flacco closes his eyes and throws a bomb for the win!

Yes Flacco is depicted by that kid!

Agreed. I don't have an issue with them feeling their team will win. I just take issue with the idea we might as well save the price of the plane tickets and just forfeit now. Manning is a demi-god you know. Unbeatable. All due to the magic of THE GLOVE.

I really hope we win this game after all the disrespect we're receiving.
I just never understand why other team's fans go onto the home message board and just disrespect left and right. I don't go over to my neighbor's house after I stepped in dog crap and wipe it all over their white carpet.

When I do visit other teams message boards (Texans last year, Seahawks a few years back), I stay objective in terms of the game at hand. I complement them in the things they do well. Last year I had the Texans fans telling me I was a cool Ravens fans and I was welcomed back. That's because I didn't take a crap in their sink!

Its fine if you want to do that stuff in your own home. I really don't care about getting respect. I just want a little a common courtesy. I'm on this board to talk Ravens with other Ravens fans first and foremost.

Their D is soft comparing to our division; they can't stop Flacco when he's on. Caldwell and Joe are in the spanking zone. I'll be worried about our offense if Cam is still wandering around, but with Caldwell, I'm high on the high-octane offense with 2 best duo runningbacks in the league.....

Our D is about 60% of last year D which is enough for down the stretch. However, we are basically healthy, hungry, and nothing to lose mentality. I love the fact that nobody from the outside is giving us any credit which was what happened to the Giants and Packers previously.....

I'm psyche for this game; as a fan, I also feel I have nothing to lose for this Saturday outcome. Play it all out.......

Ugh, I wish it was Simms/Nantz instead of Dierdorf/Gumbel
Thats what I thought! FOX and NBC are way better, less commercials, better "experts".

Is there a reason why almost every Ravens game is broadcast on CBS?
Do they have some kind of deal?

Simple. AFC is CBS territory. NFC is FOX.

The conference of the road team determines the broadcaster of an interconference game.

I'm currently watching Playbook on NFL Network. All three of them (Baldinger, Sharpe, Mcnabb) think the Broncos will win, obviously, but it's just hilarious. Mcnabb was talking about how much of an impact Von Miller will have, then he used a tape from the 34-17 game as an example. And he showed a play that Von Miller had essentially no impact on, a Flacco incompletion where the ball left his hand a good second before Miller was even anywhere near him.

The same Von Miller who didn't get a sack in that game.

No surprise. In fact, 18 of the NFL.com and network people all picked the Broncos and Patriots.

Too be fair. Von Miller did a lot of QB hits. He is a great player. Its guys like that make me miss picking in the top 10. The best way to negate him is run the ball effectively. Which I think we can this time around.

Since we seem to like to compare ourselves to the Giants Super Bowl run. We are facing similar odds that the Giants are facing. They were 13 point underdogs against the Patriots in 2007. If we are the incarnation of the Giants, the 9.5 spread, don't mean diddly squat (But we all knew that already).

I'm not sure how he was as a player, but on that show, McNabb is seriously lacking in the film breakdown department. He's a prime example of why I dislike, most ex-players turned analyst. I feel they should give their viewpoint from how they approached games as a player. It amazes me, the number of former players that just look at the 34-17 score and make that out to be the base point for this game. At the same time knowing if they were still players, they'd be quick to point out how that game means nothing now.

In that game, Johnson, Bagjma, Bynes, Ihedigbo, B. Williams, and B.A. all played for injured starters. Those guys will play very little. Not to mention guys like Smith and Ngata were banged up. On top of that, Lewis, Suggs, Ellerbe, Pollard, Yanda and Dickson are back now. Also guys like Graham and Brown are playing at a much higher level then Johnson and Smith played that game.

Also, Mcphee was just returning from injury. I don't wanna make that loss about injury, but if you can't see that it was a big issue for the Ravens, your foolish. I wonder how jacked up these ex-players/experts would be in a situation wher you know you're getting back not just starters, but some pro bowl caliber players. Yet, they talk as if that will mean nothing in this game.

These guys could bring so much more insight into these matchups, but they often fail miserably.

The sad part is that's how McNabb approached games.

I actually think most former players are better analysts than those who never played, except when analyzing their own former team. However, a common trend I've noticed with them is that the film they show while talking about their topic doesn't always do it justice. It makes me think that while they have football knowledge, they probably just tell somebody "find me some clips of so-and-so" and trust they'll get what they want. Non-players find the better film, but their input isn't always as good.
Back on topic, though, everybody and their mother is picking a Denver-New England Championship Game. I've been nervous about playing Denver for two weeks, even leading up to the Colts game, but the closer we get to gametime, the better I feel about this. I'm pulling for snow. Let's see how well Manning does out in the elements. No more dome of security for 18.

Actually i do like ex-players and coaches, but just like everything else, some people are better at it then others. I just feel that too many times they do a 180 as soon as they put a suit on. I feel that most of them should only talk about their old position or positions directly impacted by their play.

For example, Heath Evans feels he's qualified to talk about QBs just because he played with Brady and Brees. That's cool if you're talking about the level of impact they had on the offense or team. However, he speaks as if he knows what it takes for a QB to be "Elite" and when I listen to him breakdown QB play it's laughable at times.

I always find it amusing when they are breaking down plays when discussing how great Rodgers or Brady are and there are about 4 glaring examples of blatant offensive holding right in front of them that was not called. Which they completely ignore lol

That is one thing we must do today. Play smart. Refs will be looking for any tiny thing to give Peyton and the Broncos the edge.
