[News] 5 Ravens Changes From Last Denver Game

98 posts in this topic

Thank you Ravens4Liife. I hear so many people bashing Flacco,it's anoying. I go to most home games but always record them because you do miss alot. I agree with you, and have said many times that the O-line has been in trouble. I think the changes they made this past week proved to be an Improvement. The D-line has also strugled giving up more rushing yards than in the last decade. With our guys back and healthy that also improved. This is not the same team that lost to Denver in Dec. and I believe Flacco is going to have a great game if the O-line can play like they did last week.

Caw710- You're right. When is the last time this defense gave up multiple 100 yard rushers, or 150 yard games in a season, let alone month. One problem I feel is Ma'ake Kemoeatu. I never like him, always got pushed around by centers and guards, never seemed to have much of an impact. a DT/NT's role is to hold the OL, clog holes and force the runner to bounce, or get slowed down, and open holes for blitzing LBs. He did really well when Ray came up the middle and hit ballard in the backfield for a 2 yard loss last week. I think it was him anyway, but it could have also been a result of downblocking by the O-Line, and Kruger or Jones holding the RG/RT in their positions. I don't see many exotic looks on the D-Line such as crashing to one side, stunts, or anything else. It's like the D line play is extremely vanilla, like Pees just expects them to overpower the O-Line, but it's going the opposite way. Stunts, crashing left/right will help combat stronger O-Lineman. Chicago does this, a lot. I live in Illinois and see their games almost weekly, as my girlfriend is a bears fan, and I have studied their defense and compared it to the Ravens' D. If the Ravens played the same style Chicago does, which is how they USED to, they would be as dominant as ever, and not give up 400+ yard games.

Dean Pees likes the bend but don't break style defense, and it's what is getting the Ravens into horrible field positions.

What part of it makes you sick, have you read anything I've logged today. I happen to be the #1 Ravens fan in the USA and United kingdom. Maybe even the Whloe World. Thank you very much!
Just because Ravens4Liife has more inpsight in the way the game is played and has a coach like view of things makes him a more educated fan NOT LESS OF ONE. But not more of a fan than me.

Because YOU didn't understand what i was trying to say let me put it in lame mans terms for you... People who believe Peyton will just destroy us this weekend fail to become fully aware of the fact that Peyton has always played in a dome or warm weather venues in the playoffs which can hinder his play in this up coming game... I hope that cleared things up for you and your welcome for the info

My point is: What makes you think that other people besides you didn't already know this? It's not like you're telling us some big secret. PEOPLE KNOW...

Well from reading these forums, majority of them DON'T. They all come in here, crying about Joe, when he gets hit 9 times a game, hurried 15-20 times, and blames him for a bad day. Seriously, think about it. Read half of the posts from people and what they say, they all just need an outlet because they can't accept the fact that the defense is giving up tremendous amounts of yards every game. It's out of the norm, not what we as fans expect, so it turns to Joe. Apparently only a few people understand exactly what's going on, because a lot of people only see flaws in Joe. And if you try to say otherwise, you are delirious.

I didn't say he WAS ELITE. I said he plays like an Elite QB when he has protection. He is not elite, he has to prove consistency before i even consider him Elite. And i agree, when he puts up big numbers and takes us to the super bowl, we can start considering it, but i did not say he was Elite

Ok let me modify my thoughts. He isn't elite in the regular season, but he does play like and Elite QB in the Playoffs!
