Reggie Wayne on Lewis' Dance

53 posts in this topic

Dear Reggie Wayne,

I'm sorry if you felt that Wildcard Game was all about you, Luck, that Indy team, Peyton and the Divisional Game you wished you were playing next week. It isn't your fault. I know the likes of ESPN and NFL Network led you astray. I mean, your QB and your team were all they talked about after all.

But, that "last dance" at the end of the game? It had zero to do with you, your team, your coaches, ESPN or NFL Network. It was about US and the greatest MLB to ever play the game. It was a farewell. From a Great Raven for life, to some of the greatest fans. It was a touching personal moment that you should have felt honored to witness.

In short. Get over yourself already!

And a fellow hurricane too? Guess who's shooting down your tribute once you retire from the Colts, Reggie.

Reggie Wayne is a sore loser in this case. This is going to be awkward at University of Miami alumni events.

Funny thing is, I bet Ray Lewis is calling him now to apologize and explain his actions because Ray Lewis is the leader the NFL needs, not the one they deserve.

P.S., you're welcome for the coach, the defensive players, and the 2011 loss that helped you land the number 1 draft pick to draft your new franchise QB.

He's the most iconic figure in the franchise playing his last ever home game. If he wants to dance, either play some music or shut up. Only the most self-absorbed narcissist can see this as disrespect, considering it has NOTHING to do with them. It was between the man who's been with this franchise since its conception and the fans.

THIS is something that got me. Usually players from the U are close and really respect each other. But I guess Reggie is that sore of a loser. Someone get the man a dictionary if he thinks that was what disrespectful is.

Ok, I don't understand about Reggie's idiotic non-sense sneeze; Ray Lewis is like Michael Jordan in Chicago Bulls and even more than that. The man represents the Ravens nation and the fans since he joined the team; he is an icon, fan-hero thing, best ever MLB in the history, and a inpirational leader not only in the Ravens locker room but also around the nation. Even a little kid will know the Baltimore nation will celebrate big for Ray Lewis retirement. Well, I guess except sore loser Reggie...lol

Reggie Wayne is a great receiver and played great his entire career. He is just being a "sore loser" plain and simple. Ray Lewis means more to this team than arguably any other player for any other team in any other sport imo. Im not just being a homer. Ray Lewis is just a different type of athlete, he is a beast at the sport he is also the most passionate player in any sport I have ever seen. I dont think anyone will ever play as passionate as Ray even if they try, on the field off the field he is a legend. He did that dance for 17 long successful years in our city and he needed to do it one last time, and it was even more epic than the other 250 times he did it.

Ray Lewis responded to the comments today saying:
"That was about capping off a heck of a legacy that when he was in Pop Warner, I was in Baltimore. It was nothing personal to the Colts, it was about me honoring my team and my city."

I felt disrespected by the Colts showing up with our city's history , the brand that I rooted for as a kid and a player in that uniform had the nerve to complain about a player entertaining the fans of this city .
