Off topic -- He made a video diary? SICK!!

On Topic -- I don't know about NYJ. Rex is already in all kinds of hot water, he won't be taking any unnecessary risks this season. I just can't think of anyone that needs a "risk" LB.

Off topic - Ha, no! Recording from UPS.

On topic - Yeah, probably right, but its still Rex we're talking about here.

It sounds like he asked to be released so he could go to another team, one weak with OLBs where he could perhaps have some sort of an impact. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Patriots picked him up.

It was always funny how Kindle couldn't even get time on teams. He must be a scrambled egg, mush between the ears...

I had high hopes for him and still do. I hope he makes it on some NFL team and makes a splash... just not against us. He has talent but also bad luck. Like I heard on posts before Harrison was cut 2 times I think before landing where he is now. Good luck Serg.

I seriously think the Pats are out of the question.. I have a feeling their defensive schemes would be way too difficult for him to handle.

Yeah I saw that is was a "mutual" agreement. I can only assume that Kindle asked for his release in hopes of securing a reserve/future contract with a new club where he might have a better shot at making the team.
That doesn't make sense though... Sergio was on the practice squad meaning he still gets paid and ANY team can sign him off the Raven's PS..

At least we didn't get Tebow lol. On the positive side that draft is full of busts. Makes me angry though that the Pats traded one spot ahead of us to get Gronkowski while we had to settle for Kindle. Unfortunate.

We thought we had the 2nd coming of Sizzle at the time.. can't really say "we had to settle for Kindle" because we thought we had a pass rushing demon, just unfortunate now how his career played out.

I feel sorry for Kindle; I guess he is done as a Raven. I just wonder how much his inability to hear out of one of his ears factored in to all of this.

Real shame it never worked out, I always felt that if he was going to make it, then this would be the season, with the injuries at LB. Guess he's just not upto the job.

I really wish things would have worked out man. We never know what he could have done for our defense, he apparently had a ton of promise though, shame.

Stupid stairs.

stairs alone don't hurt people, stupidity mixed with impaired motor function whilst using the stairs hurts people.

Bye, Serge. Wish you hadn't fallen down the stairs but all the best luck in your next phase of life. I know this experience has changed you.

This guy was so good in college.......this is what happens when you're young and you surround yourself with the wrong type of people......sad, just sad.

He was a lot more hype though. I notice this about a lot of draft picks. We think so highly of them and then if you look back you see all the problems they had coming out of college. There was a reason Suggs was the 10th pick and Kindle was in the 40s.

True.. But Serg was considered a 1st rounder but his injuries (knee?) was what held teams back.. Oh well. We can't really know for sure now whether it was hype or not.

From Serg's spot to Mt. Cody.. There really isn't anyone I would've preferred now looking back.. maybe Taylor Mays (I was really hoping for Mays at the time).

The first 2 picks proved to be just as bad as the one we traded away to the Broncos. Tebow! I don't think Cody is panning out too good either... if he allowed Meko to beat him out, he must have been terrible!

He wasn't hype if you're talking strictly on field ability. Without knee questions and off field issues, Kindle on the field was a top 10 pick and the highest rated 34 OLB in the draft that year.

Because he was released, he's free to sign with any team now. If he would have stayed, he would have had to wait until free agency to talk with teams. I can only assume he wanted to sign with someone sooner rather than later. Just speculation on my part.

lol sorry dude, I just wanted to make clear how good a player Kindle was when he was at Texas. I was a massive fan of taking him in the 2nd and at the time couldn't believe he fell. I thought for sure we were getting a Peter Boulware type player. Long and lean with exceptional burst off the line and deceiving body power. He lived to get after the QB.

And then when, boom went the dynamite.

Sean Lee or Navarr Bowman would have been nice.

No he wasn't. Most analysts said he had qood quickness but only two pass rush moves and wasn't good at overpowering linemen. His inconsistency was a big factor as well. We saw him as this super beast, but he wasn't. He had a lot of issues.

I dont know where you got any that from. Outside of the lack of pass rush moves with his hands, everything (which was a boatload that year) that I read had Kindle as at least a 1st round pick. His versatility played a massive role in his draft grade and I even read analysts that said he was better than Orakpo as an overall player. Only player ever as a finalist for both the Butkus and Hendricks award in college.

I don't know if super beast was the right word, but make no mistake Kindle was legit coming out of college.
