I am going to miss Ray soooooo much. Been a Ravens fan since 1996... It's gonna be a tough thing to swallow.

To that end - how absolutely wonderful would it be if one, some, or ALL the Raven players they introduce in next years opener come out doing the Squirrel dance!?
Just to re-assure Balmore that Ray's legacy will live on.

I got very emotional yesterday watching Ray... And it wasn't only the "squirrel dance". It was that he was able to come back in there after not playing on the team since October and score 13 tackles, almost 2 picks, and a forced fumble... Not to bad for a 37 year old linebacker...

me to brah! what a day! i have mixed emotions running through me about Ray's retirement. on one hand...i am happy that Ray will get the opportunity to spend time with his family and watch his boys do their football thing. on the other hand...i will miss not having my favorite and the "ultimate" Raven that i've been cheering for since 96' on the field playing again. much like Ray, i've given my blood, sweat and tears (of fanhood) to him and the Ravens for nearly 20 years. Ray's retirement is the end of an era...an "old school" era. players like Ray don't come around often. i just hope that our present and future Ravens will continue to hold up the standard defensively and to step it up offensively to keep this legacy going. bye Ray! it is going to be strange and weird (at first) viewing the Ravens play an ENTIRE season without you on the field. wow! but thank you sir fall all of the great memories that i will cherish forever as a Ravens fan! peace!
