So, lemme see if I got this! We can't win because we're playing in their house where they don't lose and that's because they beat us in our house... where we don't lose?
That logic will make this coming Raven victory all the more sweeter!
Plus it's symbolic! We've had trouble with the Mayflowers with Payton before! So, we've beat the Mayflowers, now let's beat Peyton!

Notice to Coach Harbs - might be a good idea to find a local practice facility in Denver and fly out there early this week so the team can get some reps in that elevation...just a thought

It's the year of broken streaks. Ravens don't lose at home, Ravens don't lose 2 games in a row, Ravens can't beat Indy and Finally Ravens can't beat Peyton. Only 1 more to go!
And please rest Suggs if he needs it. No sense in creating permanent damage. We will need him next year. Please don't be short sighted.

Still, as long as Yanda is healthy and the O-line plays well, we have a chance. We'll need to be able to run the ball to succeed and Yanda's absence in the previous match was critical to that outcome.

Ask Peyton how excited he is to play Ed Reed again, Mr. Judge.

Absolutely what I've been thinking - lots of streaks going down. They have 2 - their current 11 game win streak and Manning's streak of beating the Ravens. Unfortunately, this may be a better team than Manning had in any of his years in Indy, because this team has a D, but still, we have to play like a team of destiny.
And as for Suggs - not only do you need to worry about his future, but if he's really hurt, is he a better option than Upshaw? Just look at RGIII last night. Superstars are too often playing hurt beyond a point where they are ultimately less effective than their backups. We have to honestly assess him and if he's not effective, he has to come out.

I'm not sure why we are nine point dogs to Denver. If any of you guys bet on the Ravens I'd try to get in on that action early. Really when you think about it we stopped Peyton on their first two drives last game. They scored on a short field after we missed a field goal, then got their own field goal. And we are driving to score at the end of the half, would have gone in down 10-7 or maybe 10-3 and Flacco throws the pick-6 at the one yard line. Shoot, if Tucker didn't miss we could have been winning going into the half. I mean, I understand that those plays happened, but we were just a better pass away from being in that game the whole time.

We held Peyton to his lowest yardage of the season, with a defense full of no-name backups and practice squadders.
Ask Peyton how excited he is to play Ed Reed again, Mr. Judge.
Very often in this streak of losing against Manning, we've actually made him look rather pedestrian, yet our offense stunk things up so bad, we ended up losing anyway. In his super bowl winning season, we keep him out of the end zone - and lost. in 2009 playoffs, we held him to 20 points - and only score 3 ourselves. Our offense has to keep him off the field AND score points for us to win this next game.
What I love is the media will bring up a game like the one this year - as you say where Peyton has his lowest season output for yardage - and it is made to sound like he shredded us to pieces. It's just the opposite with Flacco. I'd care to say Flacco's numbers yesterday were on par with Peyton's in that game in week 15, yet Flacco's performance is characterized as unimpressive - or Boldin bailed him out with great catches. What - the great QBs WR don't make great catches?
Like Jaws said on M&M this morning - the Ravens are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL. We're used to it, but it still irritates us nonetheless.

The X-factor for the ravens is Marshal Yanda! yes because he don't play in the first Denver game that's why flacco could do anything and the running game couldn't get going. and did they do a poll of who the 2 teams wanted to face(Pats,Broncos) and either teams fans wanted to face the ravens so that has clear sign there. and i see us winning 27-20 Joe on last drive TD. to Torrey Smith!
Oh, I know. I've been saying that about Yanda for weeks. That's the kind of absence the analysts don't see (because they simply don't see our team in the same detail that we do.
In the past, I would have said - Rice has to have a big game against DEN for us to win. Now, I will say, our RUN GAME needs to have a big game for us to win. Pierce has proven to be a major part of our ground game and is really making that part of our game even more dangerous ... as long as Yanda and Leech are able to pave the way.

I have no idea whether Reid was inactive because he was hurt or ineffective or what ... but it doesn't matter. We've had injuries all year long and each time, when I expected we'd end up putting McKinnie in there, he was left out.
After seeing his performance, we can say he should be in there for the rest of this run, don't you think?
