Are they going to fly out early to Denver and get adjusted to altitude and Mountain time, or will they fly out the typical day before the game? Do you think there is an advantage of one over the other? If they fly out Thursday, how does that change the week schedule?

If they're smart they'll fly out tomorrow. Takes 3-4 days to acclimate to the altitude. Put the whole team on IV fluids. :)

i wouldn't leave that early. lol! maybe Wednesday afternoon. that gives them nearly 72 hrs to get use to the altitude. i've been out to denver once. Aurora actually! stayed there nearly 1 week. very nice area and the altitude didn't really affect me and my wife too much but we aren't football players. lol! i hope they leave late afternoon on Wednesday or early Thursday morning.

Just teasing, Mili. Of course you're right, 48 hrs should be sufficient, but an extra day of rest after acclimating would be helpful. And extra hydration.

I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico which like Denver is also a mile high. Time arrival varies. Somtimes teams when they play our local school (Univ. of NM) in football or basketball will arrive a few days early thinking they need to get adjusted and they lose. You do feel the altitude the minute you get off the plane, or even drive out here but I've seen teams come from the east coast, Texas, etc.. the night before and win big. Do bring the oxygen though, fans and players and go Ravens!

They're leaving Friday:

This week, everything is moved up a day, as the Ravens will practice Tuesday-Friday, and then take off for Denver Friday afternoon.

Why don't they just practice on Cody's belly to get used to the altitude? j/k j/k

Ellerbe just confirmed the Ravens will fly Friday. He said it takes a week to get acclimated. So instead of arriving early they will fly in and bolt after.

Its too short of time to get adjusted. And from my understanding they are going at the least amount of time so the Altitude doesnt affect them. ( i heard that your breathing gets a little worse after you have been there for 2 to 3 days)

Also i heard that it takes a few weeks for you body to adjust to the high altitude.
